Cloud booking for Hou Minghao's other drama Glory will also begin tomorrow. If you can only purchase cloud booking for one drama, rather do it for Glory.

I feel like a lot of people don't know how deep the entertainment industry really goes; seldom are the actors the ones with the real power. Oftentimes, they are forced into uncomfortable situations by their agencies, and when it's not the company, it could be the family or the constant stress and pressure working in such a competitive and toxic industry.

Think twice before you say something. Is it really the actors who should be held accountable, or is it the hundreds of other external factors that have forced them into this?

What happens between the two leads is strictly professional. They are both actors doing their job, which is bringing fictional characters to life, and they do it well. It’s important to keep that distinction in mind: chemistry on-screen is a storytelling tool, not evidence of a real-life relationship. Shipping the real cast crosses a boundary that harms people; as long as viewers respect the actors’ privacy and don’t blur fiction with reality, there won’t be a problem.

Also, AND THIS IS IMPORTANT, don’t throw around words like “pedophile” or “grooming” lightly. Those are serious accusations with real legal and personal consequences. Make sure you do your research properly and THINK before throwing around such words; reckless allegations do real damage and undermine legitimate concerns. If you’re worried about a situation, check reputable sources, and avoid spreading rumors.

Finally, be responsible and compassionate as a fan. Critique the story, debate the characters, and celebrate the performances and success of this drama and its actors, but don’t harass or stalk the cast, don’t invade their private lives, don't go around shipping them in real life, and don’t weaponize unverified claims. Try to also spread word of this to new viewers, and urge them to do proper research.

There are a lot of fandoms involved in this, and everyone has their own favourite characters/actors that they support, which is perfectly fine, but at the end of the day, just try to keep an open mind. You can be a die-hard fan of someone, but at the same time still be respectful and positive towards another actor. If you are unable to do that, then just focus on who you like, but don't spread misinformation/hate on the other cast members.

Let's please keep this comment section positive and not fight with each other.

Does anyone know around how long the post production work takes for a costume drama like Glory? They've only wrapped up in June, and from what it looks like, Yu Zheng really wants it to air this year.

I know the post production work shouldn't take very long since there's no need for many special effects, but still I am worried, I just hope that everything is done properly, or even better the drama can get released next year, because the possibility of 2 dramas airing at the same time really stresses me out 😭

1. Depends on the arrangement of the drama team. It's usually days before filming, during the day of the boot,…
I honestly don't mind how much suffering there is (is it kind of bad that I actually want his characters to suffer 🫣), as long as there is a happy ending. I love angst as long as the ending is good.

How is China with the whole cencorship thing regarding cross dressing? I haven't read the novel yet, but it seems the ML spent much of his life living as a woman, but will China allow that to air? I suppose it won't be a big deal if they make it similar to Love in the Clouds, but if for half the story, the ML is pretending to be a woman, will China still allow that?

Seems like everyone is pretty convinced that Hou Minghao's next drama will be Immortalis, so here are just a few questions I have:

1. Around when should we expect an official announcement?

2. What are his other rumored dramas that could be true?

3. Does anyone know what the character he might be playing is like? If yes, please give us a short summary.

4. Is the drama/novel more ML (meaning the character he might be playing) centric or FL centric, or does it just focus on the trio as a whole?

Title Love in the Clouds Spoiler
Ep 25Finally!! Ji Bozai - what a lousy detective - figured out her true identity… for the past 2 eps it was…
Why should Ji Bozai feel any remorse? Ming Yi lied to him and tried to steal one of the last things his master gave him, yet instead of hurting her, he decided to let her go. It wasn't his fault that she got poisoned, it wasn't his fault that 27 sacrificed himself, and at the end of the day, the Golden Millet Dream is his, and he doesn't owe it to anyone. Even if he knew about the poison, that doesn't change anything. He is not obligated to give it to her, especially considering that he had given her many opportunities, yet she continued lying to him.

There's more to this, I can tell you the rest if you want, but they're spoilers.

There is a thing, the costume and accessories in the first half of the show were better and more beautiful than…
Maybe, but the costumes in the second half of the drama also reflected who the characters really were.

During the first half of the drama, Ji Bozai and Ming Yi were all hiding who they truly were:

- Ji Bozai was pretending to be a "frivolous playboy", hence why he wore coquettish clothing with a low cut, but in reality, he has his own ambitions, and he is also extremely loyal (you can even see how Ji Bozai changed his style of clothing after promising to remain loyal to Ming Yi), and would do anything for the people he loved.

- Ming Yi was pretending to be a simple dancer who was madly in love with Ji Bozai, hence why she had fancy jewellery and clothes, but in reality, she is nothing like that. She's almost a bit tomboyish, raised to be a "war god/dess", and you could tell how unlike many of the other fairies, she didn't care much about her appearance and dressing up to look pretty; instead, I would argue, based on her hair and outfits, she dressed more for practicality and necessity.

In my opinion, the costumes from the first half of the drama reflected and helped craft the characters' fake personas, while the outfits from the second half of the drama showed the characters' true selves.
