I really hope she doesn't ask Jian Bing to break up with Sheng Yang. That would be the complete opposite of the vibe I got from the conversation she had with her husband about wanting the best for her son so he and Jian Bing can have a long future together.

Best case scenario, she just gells JB that Sheng Yang is no longer living at home and that will spark a convo with Sheng Yang about him not confiding his hardships with her. Theyre both dealing with family stuff and not talking to each other about it!

I think people who want to see them kissing and possibly doing more are people who are used to western shows. Western shows have very few limits in what they show during romantic/intimate scenes. I have watched many cdramas and even some kdramas and the kissing scenes were a bit strange to me at first but Ive come to understand it's just different, what they are willing to show, and in what channel.

The chemistry between the leads is outstanding, there really isn't a valid reason to think they act like siblings other than the fact some people think chemistry must equal kissing/intimate scenes, and I just find that weird and sad. Chemistry is something altogether. It's the way Sheng Yang looks at Jian Bing like he truly believes she is the most beautiful woman in the world like he kept saying through that lie detector bear (a cute scene!) and the way Jian Bing seems to light up with happiness whenever shes around him. Shes smiling so much and it's obvious they are the sunshine in each other's lives right now.

Would I want to see them grow closer and see their romantic life develop more? Sure! XZ did an excellent job of that in OOL and I have no doubt this actress would meet him halfway, but i dont feel it's necessary. I get the impression days are going by and they're having their little moments and we just have to assume they're happening offscreen.

Their scenes in the last couple of eps were amazing. Their little encounter at the train station was lovely. That hug and their faces as they hugged, like they were finally allowing themselves to rest a bit. Kudos to the actors really.

My theory was that it would be Jian Bing to ask for time (the 3 year time jump) but having watched the latest couple of episodes I now wonder if it will be Sheng Yang. I liked his conversation with his parents and while he remainee steadfast about his decision at the end, makes me wonder how he'll feel as time goes by and he starts experiencing the problems his mother brought up. I dont want the break to happen but thats what Im expecting now.

Im a big XZ fan and i even forget im watching him in this drama because his mannerisms and the way he carries himself is so different to his interviews. I think thats a sign of a great actor, that he doesnt play himself, especially in these modern dramas where it's easier to make that mistake. This is probably one of my fav characters of his. So bubbly and happy, a little sunshine. Also just very hot too i agree

More than clueless it was plain offensive and I was so mad! Jian Bing is way too polite and diplomatic. She basically told him off for what he said but I dont think it got through.

Considering what the synopsis says, Im expecting all the obstacles (her sister, his parents) to be part of it. Perhaps a 'let's wait and see if this is something you still want in a few years when you're older' type of thing. I hope it isn't this! Sheng Yang is younger than she is but he's not a child and I think he's shown he knows what he wants. But that's what I'm expecting to happen :/

I was feeling bad for the Fang dude before, simply because he was plain embarrassing in every scene, but after his confession today and what he said about wanting to guide Jian Bing back to the right path so she can return to her normal life (????) i hope he gets to see her kiss Sheng Yang. Hope he sees them french kiss.

'FL is so childish!' - shes a teenager damn give her a break
'FL is a damsel in distress all the time' - all the time? really? did you watch all the eps? also if we're talking in the first few eps there is a reason why her magic isnt strong yet. It's a whole plot point! a few eps are dedicated to shi ying teaching her magic and telling her it's due to her upbringing/lack of good teachers
'FL misunderstands the ML!' - I love Shi Ying but he still hides stuff from her. We as the audience have information she doesn't. She still figures out a lot of stuff and doesnt blame him for many things because she knows he does it for her own good (which is very generous of her tbh)

people wanting them to have feelings and confess these feelings in the first 10 eps are watching the wrong drama. This is a teacher/student drama and it has a proper slow burn.

Theres an actual reason why her magic isnt strong and as the series goes on she gets better at it. She has moments where Shi Ying saves hrr but she ends up saving him right back a few times after.
