I thing i like most about this drama, aside from the great plot and good acting, is the fact that the love story is not frustrating. There are no idiotic scenes where on lead tries to protect another lead by lying to him/her and there's no stupid scene where they are willing to get themselves in harm's way just to save another.
They are just decent human beings with common sense falling inlove with each other and solving mystery while at it.
If you're thinking of dropping it because of his weird laugh... DON'T.
I made that mistake 5 years ago and that's why I only finished this drama now. I felt so cheated that I wanna slap my fingers back then when I closed the tab for this drama.
If anyone misses this drama but is already condemning themselves for watching it too many times, go watch the Chinese remake "Youth". It's decent and you'll love it too. You're welcome.
This reminds me of FRIENDS too much. Some are spoiler scenes so I'll just make a spoiler comment about this below,…
Well the obvious similarity was how Joon Ki and Seo Jin hides their relationship from Dong Goo (SeoJin's brother and Joon Ki's bestfriend) because they are afraid of his reaction just like Chandler and Monica hide theirs from Ross.
Second, there's Soo Ah who came to live with them because of undesirable events like Rachel. Tho Rachel was the one who did the leaving and Soo Ah was left behind, they are both spoiled princesses who know nothing. ... and just start being responsible after that series of events. ( No offense meant... I love them both)
There's also this scene when JoonKi and DooShik mistakenly got the wrong baby like Chandler and Joey did.
There are small scenes that would prove my point but I'll just let you watch it and laugh for yourself.
And don't get me wrong. I don't mean anything bad by saying this.
I'm just saying that this reminds me of FRIENDS. No hidden meaning, good or bad.
This might be the only "Hana Yori Dango" where I didn't have any second lead syndrome.... and it wasn't because…
I love this version. THIS IS THE ONLY VERSION WHERE I DIDN'T HAVE A SECOND LEAD SYNDROME and has support AhSi all the way (except for that ep 40, but you can't blame me for that. Lei was absolute perfection on that ep)... where was I? Yep... this version I love.... but the last three eps? WTH happened?
That wedding could have been better. After all the difficulties with their parents, I would have expect them to be in the wedding! It could have been simple without the theatrics and I would been happy. I'll be crying tears of joy with them and not spending the whole time covering my eyes, cringing on everything that's happening.
Why do good dramas always have to be ruined by unnecessary flashbacks, timid kisses and RUSHED ENDINGS!
Someone tell me, why did they change the actress for EunJae for this season. have nothing against her but damn... it was weird seeing her act like her.

DON'T DROP IT. JUST DON'T.
Tho A Kim Soo Hyun fan wouldn't need to see the face to know it's him... the body says it all <3

Ahhhh... That was satisfying.
