Yep! I don't think we even need a second season. If they made one they'd have to invent more issues and problems for Seol and Jung because what drama ever depicted the peaceful lives of couples. Haha

If it helps, PHJ's instagram has a shot of him walking that pedestrian crossing to confirm that it was Jung, he was back, and the fact that he read that email means he's ready to be with Seol.

Thanks! I'm glad it helped you. :) I know what you mean. It doesn't feel official unless the author or the drama explicitly shows you they're happy together. But I've reconciled it with the fact that if everyone is led to imagine that Seol and Jung are happy, then they must be :)

Title Cheese in the Trap Spoiler
TL;DR: For me it was a happy ending. I don't think things were unresolved.

The "open ending" leaves it to our imagination to decide how Seol and Jung will reconnect. To me, her disinterest in dating other men, the way she checks her sent messages to Jung, and thinks about him shows that she's waiting for him and giving him the time he needs to find himself. In her narration, she said something about a lessening desire to get to know "that person" better. But everything she did, to me felt like she was just convincing herself that she is okay so she can live on, but she still longs for him. Why else would she constantly check her unread sent messages.

When they were breaking up, Jung made it clear that he wants to see her again after he fixes himself so he could love her properly. The message going from unread to read, shows that at that point 3 years later, he was ready to open that door and make his way back.

The drama may not have been explicit about how everything worked out, and yes I am sad because who doesn't want to see the couple they shipped and cried for, together in the end. I'm at peace though, because I know in my heart that everything will work out for the two of them.

As for all the other characters, I'm happy about their ending. Baek In Ha and Jae Woo are a perfect couple. He saw her at her craziest and still he loved her (exactly what she needed). I guess Jae Woo is In Ha's Seol. Baek In Ho is playing the piano, and I think his art was his true love interest in the drama.

I cried throughout the episode, but when I'm in the car on the way to school today, I'm going to be imagining Seol's reaction when she sees that Jung's read her messages, and smile. At the end I thought, "this is really what it's like in real life." I love this drama and I'm happy I watched it. It's so real in it's emotions. So thank you to the cast and crew. It's been a bumpy ride for all of us, but I'm grateful nonetheless. :)

Just a last thought from someone who loves webtoons: I think it's a common thing amongst the webtoons I've read, to end the story at a place where everything begins, so that the characters could live on in our thoughts.

@KaraGrace yes, I remember the nonstop giggling and squirming I did! Honestly though, I only really disliked episodes 13 to 14. I enjoyed all the other episodes! So excited, scared, and nervous for tonight I might cry!

@jupiter Thanks! I just feel so sad when I see people write off the character like they're the usual stereotypes, when they're so interesting!

I wish they used episode 13 and 14 to unleash this mayhem so they can have more time to tie up the loose ends, rather than the one hour finale.

On Baek In Ha: I think she was the most manipulative of the series. At first she was endearing, then her deep seeded issues started to surface as Seol and Jung got more serious. It may be because she was physically abused as a child, and she has abandonment issues, but honestly Jung's dad took her in when she was young and gave her everything she needed to get back up. Yes Jung's dad had his motives, but he treated them well. They went to the same school, had the same opportunities, and even in the beginning of the drama he was trying to help them get that certification for a job. I think he spoiled her too much, and she became too greedy and squandered all her opportunities.

On Jung's Dad: Yes he had other plans when he took the siblings in, I see why the Baek's feel betrayed. But! Let's remember all the flashbacks and the support he showed in attending all of In Ho's performances, sending them to school, and giving them a good life even if they weren't of the same blood. I understand why he would put Jung first, that's his son. So far they've been pretty ungrateful.

On Jung: I think the allusions to his psychological health, need to be tempered with his experiences. Growing up, everyone used him for something. As a child he had to mature quickly because everyone watched him as the son of a CEO. There's a reason why he has to internalise everything and resort to manipulation to achieve his ends. It's because he always felt the need to hide, and his father reproached him even if he was doing well. [This is why those deleted scenes are important for his character development]. I disagree with Baek In Ha when she told Jung that Seol doesn't understand him. It's as if that's the only side to Jung, which is not true! I think Seol opens up a whole new side to Jung that lets him just enjoy himself and be happy, rather than having to be so serious and put together all the time. Seol may not fully know the other sides of Jung, but that doesn't mean she doesn't understand him. I get that Jung is scared to reveal a part of him that could scare away someone he loves and makes him so happy.

On Baek In Ho: He's impulsive and spontaneous, but I think even he realises his sister has crossed the line. He was speechless when Jung brought up Seol in Ep 15. Also, he needs to take better care of himself, being so rowdy and physical is hurting his future as a pianist (all those fist fights). Also, as loveable a character as he is, he lacks introspection. It seems like everyone is wrong except for him, but he needs to realise his sharp tongue is easily misconstrued. He needs to start being accountable for the things that have happened to him, instead of putting all the blame on someone else. He's quick to judge and he doesn't try to understand Jung's point of view.

Anyway, point is all these characters are wonderful and deserved to be understood and explored. The drama has made some mistakes in the way they've been portrayed. As an audience, let's not make hasty judgements and try to piece together what the editing failed to do.

Looks like we're gonna get an extended special of Cheese - it'll include deleted scenes http://netizenbuzz.blogspot.com.au/2016/02/cheese-in-trap-resolves-to-air-extended.html?m=1
Yeah! I really hope he's in 90% of the finale and the special. I love the way PHJ portrays Jung. It'll be double the heartbreak if the series ends and we didnt get our fill of PHJ.

Happy that we'll have the chance to see them. However, so disappointed that it'll be part of an extended special. That means the scenes won't be well integrated into the story. I just hate the feeling of PHJ's scenes being an "extra bonus," when these scenes should've been at the core of the drama.

I encourage everyone to watch though! Get a better understanding of Jung, as well as supporting PHJ and his hard work. If people boycott, it'll only do more damage to everyone.

Just want to share some news with everyone! http://kpopherald.koreaherald.com/view.php?ud=201602261602322957365_2…
Yeah, they did! The original webtoon has a lot of flashbacks as a way for the audience to better understand why the characters think and act the way they do, because of what they've been through. They filmed that in the drama, but cut it out, so now everyone will just think Jung is evil or crazy, when really he's just a character unexplored.

Wasn't bored for a second of that pilot. I think I was squealing and giggling throughout, especially THAT scene (I'm going to assume we're all on the same wavelength here) -- Joong Ki was mesmerizing hehe. Excited for the rest!

Yes! That hug was the make-or-break point of the drama. All their trust issues and Jung's fears and traumas were swept away!

Yes, I kept pausing and checking how much time had gone by. On a positive note, Jung fans may not have quantity but I think we have quality. Every second of his scenes felt so important and pivotal in their relationship and the direction the drama was going. Haha I sound so serious because of the emotional investment I've put in Seol and Jung's relationship!

I had a hard time sitting through the first thirty minutes of Episode 14 without a single Jung scene in sight. When he finally appeared it was so brief, but the end when she hugged him and accepted him made it worth the agony. He really needs that. Based on the preview, there will be a lot of drama in the last couple of episodes but I hope Jung and Seol weather the storm. No matter how much they develop Seol and In Ho now, I still believe the relationship between Seol and Jung which developed in the earlier episodes isn't for nothing because at the end of every hardship and misunderstanding they faced up to this point, they always came back to each other.
