I second this motion too.....Jin Han might not be your typical handsome ML but he's very attractive in his own way and very charming to me ....especially in his role for this drama, he deserves to be a Main Lead. Him as be it a Villain or as a Main Lead works for me. I too really enjoy Peng Xiao Ran's chemistry with the other two handsome main leads ( hats off to Du Ya Fei and Wang You Shou ) this is the reverse harem that works for me. I love Zhu Zan and leans more towards his character to be paired with Jun Jiuling's but even if they paired her with Nobleman Master Ning I wouldn't grumble cause he is very likable too. Even the creepy Lu Yun Qi, sparks fly (for me) everytime he hounds and pester our Dr. Jun ( which is kinda weird because I'm not a sadist and I wouldn't want her to end up with him like ever ) but I like him whenever he spices things up when he fights with Zhu Zan and incite his jealousy over Dr. Jun. I know now that if ever Du Ya Fei and Peng Xiao Ran will be paired off as the main couple in a new drama, it would work same goes to Wang You Shou and Peng Xiao Ran as a main couple too in the future. As always Peng Xiao Ran is so enchantingly beautiful just like in GMP gotta love this girl.

The last scene in the ending credits says it otherwise though....I'm just assuming here... I don't know how the screen writer's going to spun the romance bit in this drama, but in the novel Jun Jiu Ling is with Zhu Zan.

Duly noted ....hehehe...I only based my surmise in an article about Ancient Chinese Ranks and Titles and of one of my favorite Cdrama Nirvana in Fire where in....Commander General Meng is one... a Commander of the Imperial Guard but the Commander-in-Chief or Great General too can't just easily touch him in that drama and vice versa...he is greatly respected too the same as the Great General in that drama. In the article I read it explained that next to Commander-in-Chief or Great General title rank is Vice Commander General then next is Vanguard General next is just General title and next is Lieutenant General...Though Commander Meng can't touch either the nobility titled Duke's in that cdrama without the decree or approval of the Emperor first, same of the Great General too he can't just touch someone titled Duke of nobility that still retains their great influence and political power whether the Emperor favored them still or not ) so I'm assuming Commander of the Imperial Guard and Commander-in-Chief or Great General are somewhat equal....hmm... Just realized now that you are right...even though Zhu Zan is just a General ( I'm assuming that too based on his costume when he was with his parents and their conversation and also because he is too young to have an experience as a Great General but as he is the son of a Duke being a Lieutenant General is too low for him too) you are right as Zhu Zan is the heir to a Dukedom that in itself made him of higher in rank to Lu Yun Qi. Duke's are after all higher rank than Great Generals but lower and next after in rank to Prince and Princesses.......You are right too about that bit of Princess Jiuling...... a Princess marrying someone two or three steps below their rank ( after the Duke title there's still a Marquis and Count rank title up next ) it's considered an embarrassment and humiliation and is greatly frowned upon, unless the would be husband made a great service or merit to the country and the Emperor to which his status would need to be raised just like in The Rebel Princess Cdrama.... :D

From my understanding of the nobility and royalty of china please bear with me.... is that the title Duke is of highest rank of nobility next after the title of the Crown Prince, they could be a Regent ( a temporary/stand-in Emperor while the Crown Prince is still young or incompetent and the throne is left without an Emperor) and are sometimes typically given to the family members of an Emperor or Crown Prince example they are their brother in laws, uncles or a grandfather to the Empress side who has no Royalty blood or they could be the uncles/nephews/brother of an Emperor or Crown Prince who has no claim to the title/not direct line to the throne but still is of Royal blood. The title Duke could also be awarded by the emperor to someone/anyone who had made a great big service/contribution to the Emperor/Country. While a Commander of Imperial Guard is lower to a Duke title but still a highly regarded title too equal to that of a Great General but is under the direct control of the Emperor while a Great General is not so much under the Emperor's control and could command without waiting for the Emperors order to ensure the safety of the country, the other difference too is that a Great General commands and guards the safety of the borders and the country's subjects outside the palace walls while an Imperial Guard commands and guards the safety of the Imperial family especially the Emperor inside the palace walls.......... As to your question my answer would be they are both equal in power for now and my reason is.. since Zhu Zhan is a General though not a Great General and is one step lower rank than a Great General but also he is after all an heir to the Dukedom which is also highly regarded although he is not yet totally in full power as like his own father is.. while Lu Yun Qi is already one step only of higher rank than Zhu Zhan as he is a Commander of the Imperial Guard equal to that of a Great General and a highly favored one by the Emperor at that ( in my understanding of the story so far I'd say he is favored ) I'd say they are on equal footing for now as Zhu Zhan is still an heir........... but then a Duke's family member's are not that easily will be wiped out by an Emperor regardless if they are favored by him or not while Zhu Zhan's father still retains his influence and power as a Duke, they would need to have a great unpardonnable reason in order to wipe them out but not impossible and still could be done....while a Commander of an Imperial Guard could be wiped out on a whim by the Emperor if they lose his trust and favor anytime. Correct me if I'm wrong but this is my understanding of the title rankings only.

Waah....episode 22 was romantic ( for me ) between Zhu Zhan and Jun Jiu Ling....but dang episode 24 was epic the fight of Zhu Zhan and Lu Yun Qi ( outside his turf ) was so kyaaahhhh awesome... lovin' these two fighting over Dr. Jun....I'm hook, line and sinker in love with Zhu Zhan now he is so adorably cute and manly awesome at the same time in this episode! Peng Xiaoran really has great romantic chemistry with Jin Han, Du Ya Fei and Wang You Shou... this is the reverse harem that really works lol! In episode 19 - 24 Dr. Jun was so brave and heroic....love her here, you can really understand why the 3 men and 1 boy fell in love with her .

I'm gonna put my two cents too.. in that BIG If ever...if Jung Ba Reum ( implied in Mouse The Last ep ) lived and had a reconciliation with Bong Yi ( who still loved him despite hating him too ) secretly by some miracle and they had a son who became a really good police justice seeking officer ( bearing other people's prejudice of him for his father's crimes and atoning too in a way for his father's past transgressions and He needs to look a lot like Jung Ba Reum = Lee Seung Gi to boot too ) and this time chasing your suggested new generation of predators" YoHan’s son and Shin’s daughter" ^-^ there goes my DELULU heart....

In MOUSE THE LAST ep they implied that JBR might be alive given that the mouse that Dr. Daniel thought died had lived and If so I'd like to think that if JBR did too by some twist ending... although in the later episodes of mouse he was slowly turning into his old psychopath self but given with his new self awareness and new set of emotions plus his new set of skills and knowledge now he won't turn fully into his serial killer past-self mode...he might become an aggressive, reckless, merciless, tough, alert, daring, on another level of quick-wittedness and intelligence, compassionate and with morality of soul type of person and his guilt and conscience will continue too which is so sad but that would be his lifetime punishment too..
I had a theory too that in some way the OZ is not abolished it's still operating but with different head of the organization now.... this time I'm guessing it's the newly elected president and Det. Shin's father. The reason would be that he had an only grand-daughter of his late son, who is carrying a psychopath gene and he wants what the head hunter did to JBR's brain surgery be done for his grand-daughter to be successful and carried on too, in order for that selfishness to be fullfilled sacrifices again must be made, many psychopaths would be experimented and operated on again remember the last scene of ep 20 when a guy was on an operating table having brain surgery and I'm guessing the doctor who envied the head hunter's brain operating skills , remember that one doctor who hid a camera while the head hunter was operating and transplanting on his son JBR's brain will be the new specialized doctor for the
new OZ and that docotor will need a lot of time and brains to experiment on to in order to copy the head hunter's genius brain surgery skills. The new OZ might have already been observing JBR while he was still in prison and they might have discovered that JBR's might have seemed dead in prison at first but discovered that he lived and they might have somehow got JBR and hidden him to be observed and might be experimented on from somewhere for the OZ's new goal now that the new bill has been passed on.
I just realized today on why JBR's father was so confident in ep 20 when he told his son that that both of them can get away in prison and that he had many plans for them...Han Seo Joon, the genius arrogantly knew that his son is not dying and that his brain surgery is successfull from the beginning at all contrary to what Dr. Daniel concluded. This was still a Masterpiece for me.

Masterpiece baby!....Waah!.....LEE SEUNG GI... hands down WOW... I started binge watching your dramas and shows after watching you till episode 7 of Mouse I got curious about you as an actor and you never disappoint in this one too.....so happy I stumbled and followed MOUSE during its live airing..so worth it....just wanna say big THANK YOU! LSG! you played Jung Ba Reum superbly, never thought I'd be this quite invested again in a series of a psychopath serial killer you are on par with HANNIBAL LECTER and DEXTER in my list that I can't help but admire ( don't get me wrong I hate serial killers period ) your potrayal of Jung Ba Reum was like a grand symphony orchestra...it builds and builds amazingly 'till its climactic ending leaving me speechless and in awe of your performance.....gotta admire all the other actors and the writer too although there are snags here and there in the story but what drama no matter what genre in the world who hasn't got one? overall it ticks all the right boxes for me to call Mouse a masterpiece...what a rollercoaster ride both emotionally and mentally this was for me...its rare for me to find a series quite this good again... will surely miss this....especially Lee Seung Gi as Jung Ba Reum... you made his guilt every episodes and his redemption and death at the church in the end very convincingly sincere, heartbreaking and touching.... usually the idea of redemption of a serial killer in a drama is awkward, unconvincing and would always leave a bad taste to my mouth but yours surprisingly did not....hmmm... JUNG BA REUM ( the handsome, two-faced, deceitful, charming , chillingly frightening psychopath serial killer and the bad-ass, intelligent ,emotional , reckless would have been a good friend ( muchi )and a good lover ( bong yi ) had fate not been cruel (sigh) police justice seeking officer ) will be forever etched to my mind and heart...Im now a fan of LSG.
