Btw Y'ALL AREN'T SEEN HOW PROBLEMATIC HER HUSBAND IS???idk but instead I hate her husband more. He comes off as…
Well, there is a serious lack of dialogue in the relationship. It's like they are obsessed with doing what each of them thinks is the best for the kid, without consultation or agreement.
But for the husband to pull the divorce card and blame her for the what happened to the kid was indeed pretty shitty, in particular when the wife is at her lowest.
Dan Su's confession, flaunting wealth in front of her, was so cringe. It seem that he doesn't understand that for a relationship the feelings have to be mutual. Instead he is trying to force it.
Besides, does he actually really care about her? His protest against his granny was rather short lived and inconsequential. How can he be fine with supposedly the love of his life being mistreated at work?
I don't understand Seo-In. He did something very dangerous by training the orphans/outcasts. Yet he went ahead and married Tae Yeong and thus implicitly endangered her. Now his father is dead and I am not even sure what Tae Yeong's status is.
There is a thing that is starting to annoy me, which is also present in other Chinese historical fiction. You have the heroes bending over backwards and going trough seemingly endless suffering to expose the evil guy. Why not just take him out, have an assassin deal with him, poison him, etc? Is it too simple of a solution? Would it tarnish their heroic image too much? After all the MLs in such dramas are often quite ruthless, slaying goons left and right.
is this good? fast paced or slow? SML annoying? any secondaru couple
It is okayish. Some characters are irritating at times. Which made drop it initially.
But I came back, mostly curious to see how it plays out, currently at ep34. And at this point there is a very powerful character, who is a bit too incompetent, to the point of annoying me. ML/FL and their sidekicks have to constantly prove their uprightness to him, working around his knee-jerk reactions.
The SML is okay, he is consistent in his behavior and motivation. The secondary couple is there. But they are not very interesting imo.
I find the characters of Gong Hui and Hong Dan weird/inconsistent. Both gave me the impression of strong women in the beginning.
But now GH won't put up a fight just because her crush tells her no to, and will rather remain a doormat at work. HD is weirdly fixated on the absolutely unreliable quack doctor, only to be constantly disappointed.
And those two ladies were the only characters I've cared about, sigh.
The characters are likeable. They certainly feel more believable/relatable than some of the characters in other recent kdramas. No over the top comedy or drama (so far). Will certainly watch the next episode.
Just had this thought. What if Dan Su distances himself from granny and gets Gong Hui to join his other business, as an assistant designer or something. That would be cool, probably too cool for this drama though.
Are they seriously bringing forced habitation now, with more juvenile bickering? And I guess ML stayed in love with FL since school and is still a virgin? This is too stupid for me. I am out.
But for the husband to pull the divorce card and blame her for the what happened to the kid was indeed pretty shitty, in particular when the wife is at her lowest.
Still I somehow managed to watch 20 episodes, just hoping that she can somehow outsmart the ML. Alas it was pointless.
If you enjoy watching the FL suffer, then this is the show for you.

Still enjoying it though. :)

And then they also just take some kid with amnesia to an orphanage, without trying to identify her, check with kids that recently went missing?
It it just lazy writing, or do writers simply have a disdain for Korean cops?
