I wish more people would try to give J-dramas a try and if they try it and don't like it then that's their choice,…
To watch more Jdramas you have to either download them or go to illegal streaming sites like kissasian although i download everything because of quality

This is a bit of a lame reason, but I think one of the reasons I don't watch Japanese dramas freqeuently is that…
kaito yamaneko tantei like i mentioned in my post is really good for new stuff, old stuff have you ever heard of innocent love? also bloody monday is a fan favorite. Gakkou no Kaidan is from last year and is a personal fav of mine because of Kamiki and his amazing performance, tell me if any of these storylines suit you!

I'm seeing another pattern here with some people. It seems that some of you are saying that you started off with Jdrama and then ventured in Kdrama while leaving Jdrama behind and then bored of Kdrama's cliche patterns and went back to Jdrama. I want to also look into why this is! this also happened to me. I was majorly into Kdramas from 2006-2009 and just sort of left them behind for Japan and got majorly aroused by all the different kind of story lines I was getting XD thanks for commenting guys it's so exciting to read all your comments!

Thanks fot this article, it's nice to read about J-dramas once in a while! And what a good idea for a first article!…
I LOVE WHEN DRAMAS REFERENCE EACH OTHER! it's like subtle advertising to watch the other drama or something that makes you laugh hilariously when you get the reference because you've already seen that drama. Thanks for commenting! glad to see more Jdrama watchers on here :D

For me J-Dramas/Movies are the more realistic of the bunch (K/C/TW/etc). To put it simply they are raw (the characters,…

The reason for me is, that all dramas i watched ( Not counting Mischievous Kiss ) there was love triangle. It…
I won't force you to change your mind but doesn't that happen in kdramas as well where the male lead is dating like his childhood friend or is in some sort of relationship with her and then the leading lady comes in and he falls for her? do you also find this dirty? or is there are different feel? or am I misunderstanding your comment? ^^;

JDramas have often an obvious ending ... that's what bothers me somehow
Which dramas have you seen, have you watched a lot of jdramas? (sorry this is like adding to my research of why ppl avoid japan) some do yes, some jdramas follow this pattern that i call the repeat me pattern each episode is like the character has a niche and then it happens each episode and then it ends and i like those every once in a while but there are a lot that have ended in a kind of unexpected way as well and i really appreciate that.

I'm curious what do you mean by lighter? like in their romance shows? or in general. I ask because some Jdramas leave you feeling absolutely heavy about life haha XD

yes drama ratings are dropping but I think it's more of the case like in the united states where less people are watching TV because things are available online now at easier access, like i see lots of new shows are available on hulu in japan, but just japan not international

The main reason I don't watch a lot of jdramas is that I can't find them subbed on legal sites.
Are you not willing to venture outside of legal sites? even just non-official stream sites? but there is a good amount of Jdrama on crunchyroll if you need legality

I watch the occasional Jdrama....But, they just don't ever have the emotional appeal of a Kdrama. Also I don't…
Ah Piece, I was watching for both and as a Johnny's and drama fan boy was I disappointed at the fact that they didn't officially get together, but like i said in my article that's the whole "end off as friends working back to relationship" troupe that is often used, she said she'd wait for him basically which you know since it isn't real life we don't know what happened really so we're just disappointed and like I WANT MY COUPLE TOGETHER XD I totally feel you on that haha, but not all them end like that. So you like fluff?
