🙃Just completed this drama.. and ended up spinning in different directions. First it's her, and then it's him... while here I am saying WTH is going on? 🤣
Then toward the very end of the last ep... I finally realized, now she is back where she was streaming. I never laughed so hard.. just out of confusion.
If this drama goal was to have viewers get lost in their shuffle, well they succeeded with this old lady 🤣🤣.
I have to admit, I enjoyed it .. because I live my life confused half the time, why not watch something that I can relate too. Anyway..........

Watched 8 eps and decided I've had enough of how shallow people can be. Yet I know in the world of the beautiful... if there is one person that doesn't stand up to their expectations, they won't go further than friend zoning. It was so apparent when the 2 newbies came in and yet ... they had more attention than 1 person was there when someone just needed to vent... or reassuring them that they are beautiful and not to speak ill about themselves. Yet... this person was still side lined. I don't know how the other episodes will turn out... but I pretty sure the way things have gone in these past 8 eps., the one I'm rooting for because of his warmth, listening ear & understanding ... will not be one of the chosen at the end.
However, I'll keep my fingers crossed for him, but I just can't continue watching. Maybe, I'll watch the last episode to cure my curiosity .. a year down the road.

I never thought there would come a time that a drama would have me take certain scenes.. rewind at least 3 times to watch it over again before continuing.
Bravo to Director Mao De Shu for his incredible foresight with these characters lives.

This beautiful & talented actress Lu Yu Xiao, I have pulled her into my favorite actresses. I believe the first time I've noticed her was in *My Journey to You, which her character was impressive, along with🎈Love in the Clouds, one of my favorites. I hope to see her in more dramas.
Chen Xing Xu an actor that captures the heart with his looks and smile.
The casting was on point.

NO, he wasn't convicted. Although he was in jail until the meeting with the DA informing me, they lost the r**e kit. which I believe was 2 weeks. The DA had to drop the case, because it was the r**eist word against mine. From what I heard from my bf sister is, he returned working for the bar. However, I strongly believe in Karma .. and although this happened over 40 yrs. ago, I'm sure he got his karma one way or another.

Yes, I was with my bf and her sister at the bar & why, I never understood .. they thought I left on my own. Which made no sense since, I didn't drive there. My bf is the one that drove 4 hrs to her sister's house, just to celebrate her sister's bday & because it was the weekend to party. So, for her (bf) to think I went home ... baffled me. I had to call my Godfather to take that 4hr. drive to pick me up at the hospital that I had been examined for the r**e kit. He also stood by me every time we had to drive back and forth to the DA's office in that city.
Once I returned home the next day .. my bf came over and asked when did I get home etc. I was so upset with her, she knew I had no idea where or how to get to her sisters house, nor did I have her phone number to let them know what was happening while at the police station giving a statement. Since then, I haven't spoken to her. Even though she has tried to reach out even through my daughter, the fear I went through that night will never, can never be something I can turn my emotions off & forgive her for.
My thoughts go to.... if it were her, I would know that she wouldn't find a way back home (4 hours driving) when I drove. I would have at least looked for her, or maybe stay in the city overnight at my sisters house and if still not hearing from her, go to the nearest police station and see what I can do.
Yet, she told me that .. she just went back home to our city thinking someone drove me home, (someone, what & who? I knew no one in that city other than her sister???). Life is a test of survival & Trust is a key to many doors. I survived.. but she broke the key.
Anyway, babbled enough. Therapy still helps.. even when this happened more than 40 yrs ago, but I also suffer from PTSD due to childhood trauma.

Thank you for your reply, it's truly appreciated. I'm 70 yrs. Old and this happened more than 40 yrs ago. I can't say that I've forgotten the pain of what I went through, but I've continued my therapy to help me heal from it, along with abuse I went through as a child. I'm grateful that my life continues & I survived what some women have not, whether it's from the perpetrator or depression. I didn't have the support because my upbringing was staying silent & handling it on my own. (The old saying, what happens is no one's business. Deal with it)

(the #3 slot was empty, with LA taking 1st & SB taking 2. As much as I loved Love's Ambition.. Light Beyond the Reed pulled out in front)

Unfortunately, I had to skip some scenes... because of emotional trauma triggers.
I am able to put myself in Ye Si Bei shoes, and how difficult it was for her to fight for justice. In my case though, they lost the r**e kit, so it was his word against mine. I was summoned into the district attorney's office with him and his lawyer there to give me the news of what happened & how it might be a strong possibility that the DA can't win my case. I was a customer at a bar with my friends & this man was the bartender. NO, I didn't ask him to take me home (didn't know this man, nor would I ever get in a car of someone that just poured my a drinks), I was in a city that was about a 4-hour drive & we were staying at my friend's sister's house. YES, I was taken by force. He then left me in an apple orchard around 3 or so in the morning... and the only thing I can do was crawl to a light that I saw in the distance & pray there was a pay phone to call the police for help. I did everything right.... Everything. Yet, I was told that this guy was a pillar of the community & bcuz of that .. and without the R**E kit, it's highly likely that he would be found not guilty.
So, throughout this drama.. all I can do is hurt, cry & try to NOT remember the pain and anger I felt. How much she has to endure mentally & emotionally. She has the strength that I only wish I had back then. She is the role model for many women that do stay silent, even to this day. It's never the fault of the victim .. but society always finds fault anyway, whether it's bcuz of what a woman wears, or how much they drink, or how they dance. At the end of the day... any of those accusations... doesn't and never give a man the right to force himself in any form on a woman.

Just finish watching this cute drama.
1st: Jung So Min is such a wonderful actress. I've watched her in several drama's and honestly, I feel she doesn't get enough recognition for her talent.
2nd: Choi Woo Shik is not only talented but love to see his smile can melt hearts. He too seems to not get enough recognition.
Which comes to #3 WHY is this drama rating not higher? It takes a lot to hold my attention when it comes to contemporary dramas & it's a good long minute since I've watched any Korean drama. The only reason, I put this one on my Watch list, is because watching the trailer was appealing. So, I took a chance to watch it. I was really happy that I did.
It's a cute drama .. and personally, I gave it a 9.5/10 rating.
IDK, maybe because of my old age .. drama's like this tend to pull at my heart strings.

*Love in the Clouds* is a historical fantasy drama. My rating was for Contemporary. I enjoyed *Love in the Clouds* my personal rating was 9.5/10, great drama.
As for *Light Beyond the Reed* it's on my *Watch * list, but I haven't gotten to it yet. As for the other *Midsummer's Vendela* aka *Summer Rose* I'm on the fence or should I say Undecided. I may watch a few episodes and see if it will catch my interest.

EXCELLENT.... EXCELLLENT DRAMA!!!
The pairing for each couple & the chemistries were right on target.
Watching this with actors that are fairly new to me .. was SO REFRESHING!!!
I only knew the actors that played the 2nd couple & of course the leading male actor.
This drama has touched the heart ... and hopes of "Can this kind of love truly exist" or Can a man like this truly exist?
Love this Drama from Beginning, Middle & Ending ❤️❤️❤️

Unfortunately... this is the end of the list for top 3 😏. There is probably a C-Contemporary drama that could be put in that slot... I just can't think of it right now & if it was one that was released in 2025.

This beautiful young actress needs so much more recognition.
I've already had the pleasure to watch her in a few dramas that she just SHINE'S in.
#1 of course is ***Sniper Butterfly***
#2 Novoland: Pearl Eclipse
#3 Brocade Odyssey
Each and every one of these dramas so far ... she has amazing acting talent. Her facial expressions, her being able to just pull you in her sensitive moments of pain.
She hasn't reached the level as Zhao LuSi, Yang Zi, Dilraba Dilmurat and a few other Ten Star Actresses. However, she is pretty darn close. I would rate this young actress Chen Xiao Yun a 9.5/10
I would love to see her being cast in more Main Leading lady roles. I have confidence she wouldn't disappoint.

I'm glad 3 of my Fav's are top 5. Love's Ambition deserves #1, Princess Gambit should have taken #2 (but to each his own) and YAY for the Female General hitting 3rd place. Excellent drama's & casting!!! Bravo to all the Cast and BTS staff for all their hard work 👏👏👏👏

Unfortunately, I dropped both of those drama's. Tried to view them and complete it, but it just didn't give me a reason to keep watching.
I'm a very .... Very picking viewer. If a drama doesn't grab onto my interest within the 1st 10 eps.. I'll try to skip a few eps and hope maybe by cheating a little .. I'll find it worth continuing to watch it. DHR and LON fell far off the grid. Believe me when I express how disappointed it was to have hopes and looking forward to watching Ren in Historical dramas again. I've cooled off from watching any of his drama for now .. along with a lot of other Historical dramas that have hit the airways. I think the few that has truly piqued my interest to watch all episodes without a skip or boredom within this year 2025, was The Immortal Ascension, Legend of the Female General and the Fox Spirit Matchmaker 3: Sword and Beloved.
I know I'm very hard to please when it comes to certain Dramas Scripts & even the Casting of them. Being this picking is pretty new to this old lady 🤣. However, I continue to hope that there will be another drama with this amazing actor in it .. that will have my full attention.
He is an incredible actor .. that's 100% fact.

Thank you, Moonbeam, for your honest outlook. I have to admit that this kind of nonsense is a trigger for me, since I've followed other KPop Artists & even Korean & Chinese Actors/Actresses whose lives was ruined over some photo's, rumors or just cyber bullying... to the point that some of these amazing talented people reach a breaking point & decide to do the unthinkable. Or, just to see the damage of what these netizens do when they are attacking the victims & not caring about the lives they are damaging.
My heart breaks for these victims of Scammers & Abusers, whether popular artists or not. Ever since I've admired the K-pop industry & respected all of those who work so hard on that stage, when I see nonsense like this come about it's hard for this 70-year-old lady to be silent. I fear that this young man and his group SHINee will probably not do a comeback as expected because of this craziness.
The focus should have never gotten to the point of condemning the victims.

I can understand where you are going with this.
However, this is how I look at it.
If I'm looking for a doctor to help me with a medical procedure & making it incognito, because of my famous identity. I'm going to ask someone that I may trust to find someone that does house calls etc. Now, depending on who he is asking will determine the trust level. From what I also saw on YouTube, that this woman first appeared in his life back in 2015 if not earlier. Let's now look how young Key was.
So, he was at a bday party for this person's child... now that proves guilt... why? Also, she was at a concert and they assume ... ASS-UME that he invited her personally. Now, mind you .. if she was his doctor at the time and he truly believed her to be legit back then, only to find out that she is a fraud!!! How, is it his fault, those who can look at things logically & without overanxious emotions pouring out .. screaming he betrayed them!
They may educate themselves... that there is a difference between IGNORANCE WITHOUT MALICE & betrayal, which I believe to be what Younger Key got caught in. This young man has always been upright and honest & he doesn't hold back... however, I believe he was different back in 2015, he depended on his Senior or Managers guidance. Key and other young upcoming KPop artist were ignorant of the Kpop world they were growing into.
So, to condemn a KPop artist who fell victim to a scammer with help is Unfair to say the least.
