Anime/manga geek who watched a drama on a whim that happened to be based off a manga and I was hooked from there. I am such a sucker for romance despite how abusive or possessive some male leads can be, frustration aside, the romance wins me over enough to keep watching. But I prefer female leads who are strong and can stand up/fend for themselves and male leads who aren't afraid to show emotions. However, from the shows I've seen already the opposite seems to be more common unfortunately.
