I would gave it the highest score if they have exaggerated less and made it half of the length. Yet it is really good, it is definitively worth watching!
I feel really sorry for the good actors and good camera work, they deserve definitively better scripts. Imagine them working with a creative and dynamical script!
Probably the writer did her best, it is the production that likes to spend money on trash - that obviously even has some success. Fortunately, we are not forced to watch it.
The writing is intriguing: standard and full of stereotypes, absolutely boring in the first 2 episodes, then very creative in episode 3, where it gets also some warmth, then the boring stereotypes are back in 4th episode- everything is so clear in advance that even the great acting cannot save it. Unfortunately, it would be not the first fiasco of those that seem more interested in quantity than quality.
Episodes 3 and 4 had again the creative writing of the first two episodes. If they can still keep it off the common places? In any case, I find it overall quite good and courageous: no easy subjects...
I always drink my coffee slowly at the start because it's better when it gets colder.
No problem.. In my area is 'cold coffee' a synonym for ' bad taste', though too hot fluids may hurt. Yet indeed, there are countries where they sell something called cold coffee - that has nothing to do with coffee apart the caffeine contents. Tastes may be different though and that is ok, each has to decide about the own taste and time.
It is of course as shallow as the title, but its script seems to be like coffee: it starts hot and with an attractive smell, yet with every episode it gets colder and worse smelling. After a while you feel sorry for the sink where you have to pour it, not ever think about drinking it. It's a pity for the very cute actors and the good camera work, but the writing is a disaster, I am not sure I can continue watching it.
are you sure? are you really watching the same drama?
unless there are different versions... ;-). I find the camera work, script, direction and even OST below the K-average, but of course different people may feel differently.
I don't get the hype and the high rating. Except the nice actors, everything is else seems to be very low level, at least until now. No need to waste time watching it.
Hate to be the odd one out but I am 6 episodes in and I genuinely do not get how and why the score is that high.…
Maybe it is also by contrast to some other shows that recently deceived a lot. Yet, putting apart the standard story and the copy/paste phrases, the cuts and the acting and the costumes and the effort of using different actors for the same persons at different ages - all this makes it out of the standard, hence over all the actual expectations. Anyway, the number up there is not as objective as the speed you see when you drive a car, it is a very subjective number.
It was good till the end. A few non standard, yet very wise decisions added to the great acting in order to make a top creation from a otherwise rather common script. Good job!
The English subs should be better. Also translating the text on the screen is a must. NF should care more about these things and not put everything on machine translation, especially for such good productions; sorry, but as it is now, it looks like packing best food in old newspapers. This wonderful work deserves better!
