if youre looking for a funny and lovable youth cdrama, Id highly recommend ‘a river runs through it’ I just finished it and I wish I could erase my memory and experience it for the first time again. it kind of reminds me of ‘go ahead’ if youve seen that especially the bond and friendship between the leads. I would do anything for you type of friends. the chemistry is also top tier
GOD THEIR CHEMISTRY!!! it felt so natural and real and every time they were onscreen together, you best believe Id have a smile on my face. I am almost done with a drama , so if anyone has a drama with similar couple (youth drama preferably), pls send it my way. I will be eternally grateful.

^this! and the decision to have 2nd bro fall in love w her was so so forced. It felt like from the beginning he loved her as nothing more than a sister so I was completely caught off guard by him suddenly having developed feelings for her. I still to this day think that he was confused and was projecting something that wasn’t there bc of his issues. On the writer’s part, I feel like they only put it in for fan service—to have two guys chase after a girl. It almost ruined my experience with the post-timeskip arc ngl.
I am almost done with forever love and I dont know where to even start. ml and fl have one of the the best chemistry i’ve ever seen. they are so natural with their acting, not too overly done, not cheesy and yet still packs a punch. It felt like I was watching two regular people in love—if someone told me they were dating irl, Id believe it 100%. I honestly always end up bored by the half point with longer dramas or after the couple gets together but this has 28 episodes and I feel like I am still gonna need 10 more episodes. this couple is everything I ever want and Id dare say they are my all time favorite couple (????big statement but yeswhat the heck, i’ll say it ) (mind you ive watched go ahead, reply 1988 etc. this one isnt as heavy on the topics but if I had to pick the favorite couple among them—its Lin Xi and Jiang Zheng Han )
pre-timeskip go ahead is my favorite chinese drama (it gives me very reply 1988 vibes which is my top 3 favorite kdrama) so im pretty scared for this remake to say the least
I think only Kim Go-Eun, Shin Hye-Sun, Jin Ki-Joo and Jun Ji Hyun will only be perfect to nail the female lead…
idk they might be a little too old to pull of a high school student but I agree that I dont think chae yeon would fit jianjian’s role. Im imagining someone with more boyish charms
i’m not mad tbh. while I do want to see him in more projects, I don’t think this role would’ve suited him. I think what he’s doing rn playing youth roles is the best. I can’t wait to see what other project he’s got in store for us!
I think my biggest issue with this drama is how little thought ml (and se kyeong if she turns out to be the daughter) is putting on their actions and how that could affect the future timeline. I mean why was he so surprised when the dude told him so over the phone?? for such a smart dude he looks so dumb. and as for se kyeong, if she is trying to erase her existence in the future why not figure out a better way than trying to get yi chan and her mom together?? at that point you are actively trying to kill two ppl and derailing so many ppl’s lives.
as for yi chan, I understand it’s kind of annoying to see him chasing after another girl but common guys his whole character from the beginning was abt him liking se kyeong. that’s his character’s motivation. he is infatuated with her so it wouldn’t make sense for him to get over her this quickly. i’m sure we’ll get more development in due time. I would rather they take their time with yi chan and cheong ah’s relationship than rush it and have it be mess up.
that being said, what I DO want them to rush is eun gyeol and cheong ah’s meeting!!! seriously!! i need them to meet already. why is it taking so long.
se kyeong is still my least favorite character so far. yi chan, while I do have my qualms abt him, is still very likable. I have a soft spot for goofs. I have no qualms against eun gyeol but pls use your smart brain more. as for cheong ah, she’s my favorite. i’m definitely cheong ah biased. she has this grace about her and I can’t wait for her to start opening up more. pls give cheong ah more screen time. PLEASE
