Barcode was still under BOC management when he signed on to film this so while it might not have been produced by them anymore (which I'm doubtful about), they would nevertheless still be involved and might also contribute to the decision-making of airing.
I loved this show soo much. It was fun, entertaining, chaotic and heartwarming at the same time. The characters…
Honestly, the rating doesn't do it justice at all but it's not the first time I find myself in complete disagreement with MDL on that. Such a shame, hopefully people who haven't watched it yet will give it a chance regardless :)
seriously San are there marbles in your head or just rocks?where is your common sense?some chick who has been…
so true!!!! and Tao was like "right now Ms Wadfah (or whatever spelling) has the advantage 'cause she knows everything from her past life" but like be so ffr i could do that with a google search
The problem is the age gap itself. One of the mains are 16 whilst the other is 27. How is that not weird? I don't…
I respect that you feel uncomfortable about it but that's not an objective metric for right and wrong. You can obviously disagree, I'm simply saying that's not the way I see it. Also, I did say I would have also preferred the casting in general to be older because I think older actors would have been a lot more suited to what the story is about but an age gap in the casting doesn't automatically mean that there is abuse going on behind the scenes. Usually, these types of productions should have intimacy coordinators to guide the actors and make sure they're comfortable throughout the shooting process but that's true for both younger and older actors. I feel like a bigger conversation could be had about the casting of very young actors all over BL when it comes to trend demands that stories be more and more explicit and that would actually be a valuable argument to be explored along with what safe-guarding measures are being implemented when the casting does end up including young individuals. Again, I'm not saying your discomfort isn't a valid feeling to have, just that it doesn't automatically make your concerns a reality. And of course, you are free to not watch the show if this is a deal breaker for you.
Well hey, if it isnβt a KinnPorsche crew reunion, what is it? That explains why I came back to a Thai show.…
I just keep thinking about the fact that a good section of the crew and production is the same as KP and it makes so so so much sense that this would be putting out such quality episode after episode!!! i'm so glad we got this and tbh, Up is just the cherry on top of an already incredible assembly of people. plus, it's exciting to see Poom in a main role after I absolutely fell in love with him in Bake Me Please despite his 10 minutes of screentime and the overall quality of that show. sometimes it's really refreshing to see unexpected casting and to get these solitary gems in an otherwise very mainstream BL environment
this is obviously just my opinion but i think My Stand-In was pretty clear from the get-go about what kind of character Ming is so i really think if anyone watching the show doesn't like him now and doesn't think he should end up with Joe, they should just stop watching while they still can. 'cause a lot of people are gonna be bitter when Joe and Ming eventually end up together and it's obvious this was always the endgame. i get wanting to see how that happens but you gotta be able to put aside the bitterness and enjoy it as it is otherwise it's just a exercise in self-flagellation. in the end, everything always comes down to being okay with stuff in fiction that you'd never be okay with in real life and that's simply because the two are completely distinct things and sometimes you want fucked up fictional people to get a happy ending just 'cause it's interesting π€·π»ββοΈ
but of course everyone is free to decide for themselves.
plus, the cinematography and the acting in this is spectacular, and the story is interesting and well-paced
it's a mix of two songs that was also used in Playboyy.. unfortunately the mixed version is impossible to find…
no worries! i get your pain.. if it can help, the two songs that were mixed together are Rewind Time by Clarence Reed and Crossfire by Conditional if i remember correctly! if i had any musical manipulation talent i'd try mixing them myself just to have this version SOMEWHERE but alas π
