Saw. 2 trailers on this drama - love the lead cast especially Reba and Cxx. Read the novel twice - most scenes close to the novel. Directing and screen shot very impressive. No doubt I am a fan of Reba since Long Ballad and so looking forward to 2025 with 3 Reba dramas. Hopeful start with Sword & Rose, then love on the turquoise land and love beyond grave. YIPPEE🥳

I think it maybe good to not let Reuter’s of the leads until after filming is completed. Let the actors focus on the filming free of disturbances. I believe in Reba and though I don’t know CFY I find the pair are pretty as described in the novel - like Reba He SIMU has big almond eyes with a mole beneath, very fair and silky black hair , and like CFY Duan Shi has nice eyes, tall and handsome with great smiles. I love Reba in the Long Ballad - such a great drama. I still think there are black fans or antis Working In the midst of all this. That said I hope all fans of both actors stay supportive of the drama

I don’t know if fans who made such negativity about her makeup and costumes are actually real fans? Real fans love her and support her. I personally believed Reba will kill this role just like love on turquoise land. So to all her real fans please support her. She is smart and professional and serious in acting. I am Super excited for Dilraba as she takes on the role as king of spirits from beyond. Her make up and costumes look gorgeous a breath of fresh air for c-drama costumes. in fact I think it is fitting for her role as she has to alternate between king of spirits and ordinary normal He Xiao Xiao naturally her costumes will change accordingly so there shouldn’t be any issues with her looks and costumes. She is a natural beauty so nothing to pick about her looks. I hope real fans must understand and support her against all antis. I love her drama starting from the Long Ballad..

Yes, they love each other and both know their responsibilities to the country and the people. this is not the usual skinship as many fans would like to see and actually I feel kinda amused that this is expected in costume dramas. If it is a modern drama one so it is not unusual for skinships. For me I think the sexiest scene was DZY walk in on HY in the morning helping him dress up and gently wiping his face... now that's where I see their emotions clearly...this beats the kissing scenes. Its been a good watch for me and I appreciate that the leading actors gave their all together with the supporting casts despite some flaws. Glad that GJ, Dilraba and LYN work together and through this drama some supporting cast got noticed for their roles esp Lin Lang with her dance and An Ning gave some good scenes.

I read the novel 3 times and watched this drama twice. I like to follow the dialogue also. I have thoroughly enjoyed this drama because the actors were on point and most of the supporting casts were great. This is a co production by the Shanghai Theatre Academy and YOUKu so I expect people from SHA have a fair share of casting directing and screen writing.involved in the drama. In fact the Margquis and Princes An Nie were part of the crew as well as frontline acting. Having adapted the drama from a novel does not equate to following the drama plot line to the Ttsssss. To follow the novel is gonna be a 60+ episodes if not more as there are many back plots. The crew has to trim the drama without taking away the essence of the plot and this will mean cutting some parts and it doesn't help the drama is subject to further cuts when it hits the censorship board before the drama is released. To enjoy this drama one has to detach oneself from the original novel. The drama did not address how they comfort the souls of the Di Armies but this drama addressed this in Ep 28. HY and DZY offered prayers to the Di Armies and invited the lost souls - trapped at the base of the mountain for 10 years - back to Da Jing .."blessed be like the wind that blows through your homeland" (sorry not great at mandarin or translating). That is heart wrenching scene with flashback of the armies being massacred. Ep 29 when the emperor through his eunuch servant asked DZY whether she can let the matter rests now that the Di Clan case has been addressed to which she replied truthfully I can't but I am no longer hating. Each character has it ending and loose ends tied up before they go off screen. Some potholes of course how Mo Shuang saved HY, and the ending for Mo Bei.which I suspect they have to hurry this part. Dilraba absolutely nailed the part of Anle and DZY where one is supposed to be a bandit and has no qualms with flirting with the prince and the other intelligent and fearless. If she face HY as DZY originally HY and An Nie will see through her disguise right away. LMX by LYN is a character cold and calculated and he wants to see what's owed to the DI clan be restored i.e. power. The supporting casts have played well in particular An Nie and Lin Lang - she dances really well. I think Dilraba was roped in by SHA because LOA was the graduate project of her almamater. She did an interview 2 years ago that her teacher from SHA encouraged her to take on this role if my memory serves me correct. GJ probably picked it up because the director was from Word of Honour. LYN probably joined because he did pretty well in The Long Ballad and knows Dilraba. Is it normal in the industry that dramas are rated poor based on one episode and for fans to expect kissing intimate scenes? In the novel the only kissing scene was HY kissed DZY on her lips while she was sleeping and DZY tested him the night before they all go their separate ways for war. The drama did addressed all the important ones like HY declaring his love for DZY at her bedside, his love for her in his farewell letter. DZY has to pretend to be a mute to serve him. I have enjoyed this drama though there are some flaws so it deserves my rating.

This is my 3rd rewatch for part 1 and still cry buckets..cant help loving this drama - Allen and Dilraba are fantastic. Superb acting, best chemistry. On Next part 2 for 3rd rewatch.

I am doing a rewatch on this drama - well worth it. Dilraba and Allen well suited for their roles..the other actors as well. Love their cgi and their stunts

TBW is really worth watching even if you have already watched it raw. The wrap up video of TBW shows the bond and happiness of each and every cast and crew member (be it First leads or second leads or the small bit part actors) who worked together in this drama. For me - a truly unique and best Chinese fantasy drama today.

This drama ( part 1 and 2) deserve a rating of 10 for great acting from all actors, story development, great martial art choreography, some of the stunts by dilraba amazing, great bgm aptly beautiful and emotional for the right scenes-love the OSTs

TBW is really great drama - can't help to reiterate how detailed the script is - after rewatch I find answers to some of the scenes 1) the fox clan story is necessary to explain how CY became Lord of the North, 2)how LHQ found JYH's pulse of the nine tailed fox under a tree simply by using YH's handkerchief..YH used it on LHQ's injured hand when they were practicing the formation to defeat LHQ's father- I was surprised how the tiny details were so important... really great production. As mentioned before, this is really beautiful love story and a HE for all couples.

I am fully on board with you on the fact that TBW did great .. despite a "suicidal schedule" ie.
air 3 days and rest four days that will spell doom in competition against other dramas that air TBW still come out tops on many respectable media platforms and discussions. it is a success since it is air only on Youku and not in conjunction with other tv station or platform both local
or international. This fact speaks volume. Only bug - ending could have been edited better..
