I am so glad you said it like it is - the epilogue is actually the start of their sugary romance. And I wouldn't miss the final part where YT realised his dream and is QJJ glory. The drama has gaming which suits certain people, about aerospace to me the equivalent of NASA, fantastic cinematography and best of all both Reba and YY delivered fantastic performances. There is no drama where both ML and FL are glued throughout the entire drama. It is a win win game where fans of both leads cooperate and enjoy the drama as is and not be disappointed that certain episodes contain only a few minutes of their favourite. Be patient Watch next week's episodes. in episode 15 when YT went back to work officially his mentor said to him (ref chapter 29 in the novel ---"The old man was stunned, and immediately got very angry: “I don’t understand this. As a future chief engineer and someone who graduated from a prestigious school, how are you not a worthy match for this female star? Money? Then even if your annual salary is in the millions, or even ten millions, you still won’t earn as much as her. Just where are you lacking your confidence?
“Our aerospace is the most romantic of professions. How is it there’s someone like you?” - this is the dialogue and it may have slapped some sense into YT in my opinion. of course there are some technical stuff which may not appeal to many in this episode.

Yes, you are absolutely right. Credit to Gu Man being the novelist and screenwriter so can't argue with that. These episodes showed YT determination to continue with his dream job and his time away from QJJ made him realise that he has fallen for her - she is his beacon of light; her belief in him and coupled with that encouragement of his mentor and friend also helps spur him to try to win QJJ back and that is reason for his "love letters" to her. That is so romantic. So be patient you see QJJ soon.

QJJ has always been mischievous, witty and fast in her response to people who target her example playing the game with another couple. She happens to be very pretty and A list actress. QJJ is Reba. Feel for her emotionally when she was rejected 2nd time by YT - see the lights in her eyes dimmed .. sobs inside the car for she has pride to not show her fragile state in YT's presence. Both leads acted well.

spamming can't be taken lightly in China, negativity for the current drama and the ratings can go downhill super fast. At some point of the drama they may also take into account overseas viewership ratings so try to maintain the rating over here as high as possible. I read that there exist some haters who professed to be fans of the novel and complained that the storyline is out of context but they DID NOT REALISED THAT THE SCREEN WRITER IS ALSO THE NOVELIST HERSELF and so far the drama has followed the novel closely. Reality also that there are anti Reba and YY fans trying hard to drag the drama down.
Reba and YY are without a doubt the best couple on screen I can only say some will get sugar overload next week going by the trailers and Gu Man added in the "meet the parents" scene is super duper great - a little change from the novel - ain't complaining.

YT ex is angry that YT can fall with someone like QJJ -If I understand correctly YT- ex insinuates that QJJ got famous through improper channel and this is where YT stood up for QJJ that she graduates from a known university also and at the end of their meeting his words to his ex were mean to cut her out of his life forever. If someone can translate better please do.

I can't describe it better than you do, yes I was surprised that seems to be the case for some - a relationship right from the get go of this drama and decided on the rating of this drama which is quite puzzling. I guess this only happens in the C-drama industry? I don't see this in Korean drama where some female leads are older than their younger male leads...hmmm interesting. Or I am mistaken?

Agreed, YY did a great job as YT - if you read the novel it's no wonder the novelist Gu Man who is also the screen writer of this drama specifically wanted him for this role. For lack of better way to describe -watch his facial expressions and actions.
And ironically I find the gaming section interesting cos it educated me that in world tournament the champion makes really a lot a lot of money. Finally, credit to the production team -they paid attention to details e.g.; one poster of QJJ advertisement poster for MISS DIAR vs MISS DIOR? (thought nobody caught that) in the subway when YT made his way to QJJ apartment to fix the air purifier ..YT said he is overage to be a gamer cos mainly the experts can be as young as 18 years, etc. I am sure there are more.. So yes YAMG production is great.

I like this forum for the matured exchange on YAMG. Its interesting to read them. YY and Reba acted well in their respective roles-right on point. Reba fits the role and I must add she manages to jell the her roles as Reba and QJJ in the drama. Perhaps I'm old school but a slow romance is way sweeter and this drama gets sweeter as they come together as a couple.

Normally I don't believe in cloud 9 ratings. But this novel and the resulting drama is worth it.
The novelist is the screen writer. The male and female leads fit the roles of YT&QJJ spot on. You can only visualise so much from the novel but to see them flash out the characters on screen - that is an absolute 1000 times better. YT and QJJ complements each other, even in reality we find couples who can be polar opposites. Gu Man's You Are My Glory is a story that is, matured romance aside, is down to earth at the same time. In this life we have to make choices - there are those who excel academically to seek finance and status and there are those who choose a career of their dreams despite the pay package. The story of YT and QJJ shows the complex and difficult decisions that YT who has has to make in order to provide the best for his parents financially and emotionally because he will be away on missions thereby not being there for his mother when she was sick; the scene where he crouched outside the hotel room and arriving at the decision to switch career midway is not easy to make. QJJ on the other hand has seen and enjoyed the best of the world but choose to support YT because she believes in him and also she really likes him. The other characters like Ling Jie, Guan Zai, Xiao Zhu and others are the people we find in this real world. This is what draws me to the novel and to the drama. So the story gets better and better when the other characters come into play. This is the first romantic Chinese drama I have watched and enjoyed. Finally let me recap I read the novel many times and still continue to read it even after watching the show, I am still enjoying it both ways.
