i think what kind of bothers me is the way they do their investigation so out of order or only half of it. like in this third case now. why are they only now doing a background check on liu yuan yuan (school, etc.) when they should have done that from the get go. i feel like they try to give a twist that way, but to me it just screams half-assed investigation by focusing on weird leads, only to follow proper procedure 10 minutes before solving the case
