i just love jin zhao's dresses and the colors. it's refreshing to see a female lead in such dark and rich colors instead of pastels. it reflects her character really well, i.e., her being bold and straightforward. my favorite is the blue one, it's stunning. coupled with her red lips, the look is sooo good and suits ren min perfectly!
I know it’s juicy. But i get distracted by the tint build up in the inner lower lip. As a lippie obsessed girlie.
i’ll say that sometimes the color distribution on the lip isn’t done well, however, in ep7 i couldn’t stop looking at her lips because the gloss just looked soo good. the color, the shine, just so pretty. suits iu very well!

the male lead is great, he is everything you said! i like the actor’s mature look, his acting is also really nice! :) and ren min as the female lead is doing wonderfully as well! her expressions are soo good in this drama, and i love how she plays the female lead’s character. overall, everyone is acting well, but ofc there are characters we root for more than others.
second male lead is physically weaker than yan yun, but character wise his personality is lowkey posessive, obnoxious and just eh. he’s giving school boy bullying his crush - it ain’t cute🤣🙏🏼

Generally, I lovedddd the rise of ning though! the leads' loyalty was steadfast, never wavered and got stronger with each obstacle they overcame together. due to some episodes/scenes cut the development of the romance is a bit wonky, but the show as a whole is wonderful and can only recommend it! :) ren min is lovely in it and has great (tense) chemsitry with ci sha!
i didnt start yet but from why i see look good why is the rating getting low? it getting bad or boring?
don't mind the rating; the show is a visual feast (sets, cinematography, vibrant colors, styling), has good acting, wonderful music and the plot is slowly but surely unfolding with each episode. i find it very engaging and would recommend starting it!
