i wrote a review! overall, i liked it despite some things bothering me. especially the beginning episodes were really good, but i wasn’t a big fan of the last case despite that being the over-arching one😕….

some people ... you can't please them. they complain that he's jealous, they complain that he rejected the fl (BUT if the leads were together already, people would complain that it's boring now!), they complain that his "noble idiocy" is cliché (ignoring that he's literally trying to find out the truth about his father's death, like thank god he's not committing to a relationship when he knows that he can't!?), they complain that the fl is not setting boundaries with the second ml (which is not true lmao). whatever the characters do, it's wrong either way😑🚬

i had tears in my eyes in that sequence when xiao rou was taking in everyone helping her, because i also thought how ghc is practically a stranger to her. meanwhile, he calls his employees over to help and clean, calls the repairman for her, gives instructions and advice on how to handle the furniture so that the shop isn't ruined... so much pro-action for a woman he's only shared mild business with, but isn't familiar with on a more personal and intimate level. he may be a little goofy, but he really showed what a good character he has. wang guang ming can only dream of being aware like this. i also loved how xiao rou used the burst pipe as an analogy to her not realizing earlier that there were signs of the cheating . i'm so sad how she blames herself for it💔

episode 17 was so sad, but seeing zhi yu's jealousy was hilarious lmao
