aye, the elevator scene in ep. 8 may not be yeong sin's finest or brightest moment, but it gave us a banger healer scene... it was kind of giving superman saving lois... and boy got himself a nice birthday gift hehe 👀💋
the “interrogation” was so funny because xiao rou and gong huai cong were just being noisy lmao they just wanted to tease our couple a little. such a good scene🤣
Such a good point. They actually accelerated her full-time status, but no one got all pissy about it because they…
busybody sun can't read the room🤣🤣 i still think about the death glare in the elevator at zhuling, it's so hilarious!
it kind of reminds me of the drama "mr. bad"! the female lead was technically UNDERqualified for the job, but the employees were not mad at all. for the probation period, they were distant because the boss was known to get rid of assisstants super quickly, so they didn't want to get attached to her, but they weren't mean either. once she permanently had her position as the assisstant, they helped and encouraged her. i remember liking the drama so much because of that!
what zhi yu's mother said to pei zhen in the car...
basically telling him he should go for it for his happiness... a relationship is a mutual thing, and hu xiu has so far been polite and professional to him, but mister delulu 3000 thinks he should try harder to get close to her. it would be selfish to flirt with her, knowing that he'd only invite her to the lion's den (his father). she's taken anyway, AND zy has warned him to leave her alone, so please. yes, choose your happiness pei zhen, but leave hu xiu alone and instead seek therapy to get over your daddy issues please and thank yew!
one of the many things this drama nails is the office scenes. i love love love how there is no hostility or drama among the employees. hu xiu may have lacked practical experience before, but she's proven herself through a willingness to learn, dedication and hard work that she has earned her spot at the firm just like everyone else. it's such a nice, comfortable atmosphere and working condition that we get to see. everyone is amiable and respectful, i love it!
