iām finally starting ep3 but iām sorry why are the islanders all such ASSHOLES? and the nurses arenāt any better. the bee incident? nurse eom is the one to drop the fuckass jar and then gives a death stare to nurse yong??? are you serious? are they trying to make me hate the characters? so far, the leads are the only redeemable part of the show because every other character - old and young - ist UNBEARABLE. awful. jesus.

chen xuan qing was adopted into the fifth branch. so, he isn't actually blood-related to the chen family at all, but the chens wanted to continue the fifth branch. fourth uncle killed fifth when they were children and yan yun knew, which is why he took xuan qing under his wing.
basically the female leadās mother and male leadās mother grew up together (ML mom was kind of adopted/fostered), but arenāt blood related at all. it is because of that bond that they see each other as family, a term that they will use more seriously as the show progresses because in the beginning itās just a formality. thatās why the FL calls the ML her cousin. no worries, there is no blood relation whatsoeveršš¼š the series is really cute so far, i like it a lot!

yeah like god forbid he asks whether there's other ways to get to their island (other than a ferry boat); god forbid he's literally stranded on the mainland for no reason????? after saving grandpa's life; god forbid he got his suitcase mixed up; god forbid he's a doctor doing his job but everyone acts like they're better than the guy who studied the field like wow - i got carried away here, but i hope ep2 is better or that the staff gets more likable cause ... ew
