ah so you did finish it after all? i did like that it ended on a hopeful and bright note!

i really wonder how they managed to make 50-60 minutes per episode feel THAT slow tbh. idk where you're at in the story, but the ending was worth it for me :)

you know, people can ship them if they want, the characters do have a nice amount of tension! but mischaracterizing the male lead like that is just .. no. he's such a nice and layered character, so saying he has less substance than pei zhen is just ... not it especially when the female lead and pei zhen have barely had any interactions of substance as opposed to the leads. zy and hx have such a natural relationship that's grown out of comfort and trust that the second male lead is miles behind of🤷🏻‍♀️

one thing i don't like are the shooting scenes. for police officers, they seemingly fire at anything that moves, it's not controlled or targeted. they fire their guns as if they had infinite bullets it's kind of annyoing. why is their aim so bad, even if the targets are moving...?

second male lead syndrome hits hard on twitter, why did someone say pei zhen has more substance than the male lead... girl he will not get hu xiu! 💢🤭 big sigh

he emotes so well! i honestly feel so feral whenever our cp is on screen, they're both so smitten with each other👀🤭🤭

what i really liked is that at work they remain professional! and that xiuxiu was visibly irritated when zhi yu left (her fingers were fidgeting!!), but she’s not moping about and losing time. she continues her work and life, because she knows he must have a reason for his sudden behavior. but yes, hopefully she’ll give him a nudge👀! both have so much trust in the other, which is just lovely to see, the foundation for their platonic (soon romantic) relationship is so stable and consistent🥹

you could really feel the internal turmoil he was going through. he yearned for that kiss and still decided that it’s not the right time yet because he’s so preoccupied with other things that it wouldn’t be fair to either of them to cross the line, going from friendship/crush to something more because that would mean committing to it seriously… ahh i felt so bad for them both🥲

i'm taking the bait! i'm not too woke, you're not woke enough! op and i resolved our matter, but i'll bite anyway. Yes, going after a married man is wrong and awful and terrible. but as i said in my previous comment, it takes TWO people to cheat. why only put the blame on the woman, when the second male lead has a whole wife AT HOME? it's so boring to exclsuively hate on the woman who helps cheat, when the man enables it in the first place by not setting proper boundaries. both of them are dicks in this situation. she, because went after a married man; he, because he let her. call her a whore if you must, but she isn't the only one at fault here. stay woke!
