I like the main leads and the crown prince/qzz storyline and generally like the drama, except SRQ gets way too much screen time and I'm so frustrated. When will the script writers let the main leads fight back instead of giving SRQ so many passes? Also, he needs to get over this weird obsession - if he knows that FL also returned, it means she's choosing somebody else not you with full knowledge of her decision! oh my gosh, so frustrated I need to revise my review to be lower.
I fast forwarded all of SML scenes today since it's just a waste of my time. the first few eps caught my attention because I liked that the main couple was talking about their relationship and traumas, which made it more unique, so wish the scriptwriters would focus on that
It is because she didn't believe his death. But she was slowly losing her mind day by day. You can ses by her…
There's really no point comparing. Personally, I couldn't continue watching the double because the plot was too exaggerated for me. To each their own and different tastes. I like that the couple here is more of a mature, older couple and acting out a different flavor of life.
Loving this actually, both leads are believable for me and the playful bickering is growing on me. The characters make their mistakes, but that to me is more realistic and believable. A lot of character development, openly discussing issues in the relationship. Not super dramatic ups and downs, but more of a 稳重 stable and mature relationship and lots of political intrigue, more of a slow burn but caught my attention for the unique & equal relationship portrayed
I don’t understand why this drama has such a low rating? it deserves much more. yes, the plot is lacking and…
same here... I usually give up on modern c-dramas halfway but I actually liked all the episodes and thought the pacing was good! and their chemistry is so cute which is what i look for out of romance dramas haha
I thought this was a cute and fluffy drama! like somebody else said gave me the vibes of the old mid 2010's dramas I used to watch, kind of reminds me of smiling pasta too in terms of vibe not plot, and the main leads had good chemistry here too. cute romance, I wouldn't go into it taking the plot tooo seriously except as a way to see more about the characters
This drama was pretty strong overall and worth watching, but just a small annoyance, fang xin’s work speech in the last episode was unprofessional and confusing (like that’s not how a real work presentation would go), wish the script writer wrote her arc with a stronger finish given other parts of her plotline were pretty strong
I don't like dramas with reverse harem? is this drama is like that?
I think it shows more friendships rather than futile pining, more focus on the two leads scheming with one another :) I loved the slow burn and main ship
I feel like XW's character has a lot of really complicated/bittersweet father figure lines. Yan Mu and his scenes are really touching and I love that they had the chance to reunite. With Xue Yuan, obviously just really horrible. I gotta say for some reason Pingnan wang's short sequence/scenes with xie wei made me feel the pain more than duke xue's scenes, maybe because XW and the rebel king spent so long together that he really is the person that was a horrible father despite spending so much time raising him... there's something really bitter/painful there that I thought both actors brought out really well. And also idk pingnan wang's disparate treatment of XW vs. fake XDF was also really poignant because what a messed up "family" dynamic. SO interesting and props to Zong Fengyan on doing a lot with a short amount of time, I really did feel like he felt personally betrayed by XW more so than duke xue (even tho good riddance to both of them obvs lol) (just my personal opinion !)
I finished it yesterday but I still can't move on and can't continue watching other shows today. I want more but…
Same, I really hope BL and ZLH have a modern drama together. The chemistry was so good and I loved the pacing of this show. For other Bai Lu dramas I would recommend The Legends and Love is Sweet as my favs!
