but, yeah it does seem to be dependent on which language is getting translated. some languages just have better teams. Japanese is good on Gaga, but Chinese is bad. Korean is good on iQIYI, but Thai is hit or miss. I just wish more things were on Viki, cuz they straight up have the best translation teams and even put in useful translator's notes

but the one I'm talking about is called Lost To You where they have lines like [a letter describing this twink's depressing life], [a pile of the fakest money I've seen, in my opinion], and [homophobic slurs, I think]. using words like "in my opinion" and "I think" when it is literally the job of a translator to know and give facts makes the translation team look very bad.
