Super funny and love FL.

I know it's subjective but since many people said it, I genuinely confused, I think her acting in this drama is…
I don't think she is a bad actress but I also think in this drama her acting is quite lacklustre...I personally believe it is because of 2 factors: she didn't manage to understand the character and the disorder, hence she can't act well the FM character since she finds it so difficult to relate/understand her, and at the same time FL character is complex to act because it's the type of character very aloof and cold which means she has to convey emotions in the little details (eyes, tiny gestures) which is very complicated compared to other type of characters. Also, there are shows where mediocre acting isn't so relevant if the plot is engaging enough, but in thriller genres it is sooo important to have good acting.
For Antisocial characters, we have very good examples in dramas like Mouse, Strangers from Hell, or Hyper knife (one certain male character of hyper knife is the perfect example of a good deliverance of a character similar to this FL)
The actor that really deserves recognition in this drama is the one that interprets FL's father, that's how you deliver a gripping performance.

Chinese novels tend to be very dog blood stories, with crazy twists. For fluff I would recommend for example the novel "Don't fall in love with the Boss" there is also drama but the romance is very wholesome and beautiful, it has a drama adaptation also very good, "Legally romance"

Don't worry, they are toning things down. The novel is very very explicit and there is difficult scenes to stomach, so I don't recommend reading it (though I love the novel) if you find it difficult to read delicate topics.

SPOILER from this scene in novel (don't read unless you want to know, quite disgusting scene) In the novel CC and WWS are having a sexy scene and CC discovers MC was watching previously a porn video so CC says "hey, I have a better one" and so MC and him watch part of a porn video while fooling around....until MC realises it is not a kinky fantasy non con video but instead contains a f*cking r*ape video that CC's subordinates filmed. WSS was shocked and CC was nonchalant and offended MC felt fear, like "how can you think I would do this to you? Long betrayed me and lied to me" (MC feels disgusted and especially terrified because he is playing CC to get revenge on YY)....

There is no way this scene is adapted, I would be soooo shocked if they include it... I usually just skip this scene in rereads because it absolutely shows CC can be a heartless monster and seriously I can't get how WSS didn't kick his ass and took a plane far away, but well, ignoring that, the novel is good

#. Is the 18+ tag only for violence or is there nudity too❓❓❓
I have seen only ep 1 (the rest have terrible subs) but I guess it is only because of gruesome scenes/violence (forensic exam scenes are...well, don't eat while watching the show lol)

After a long time, since Stay With Me, we finally got a proper CBL with full length episodes (40+ mins) and a…
Same, it is quite sad for me that Thailand, precisely the country that produces such a huge amount of bl dramas, has the worst ones, the quality is terrible, at least the last years. No hate on Thai bl dramas, but the acting is usually so cringe, the plots so cliche and weak... to the point I have stopped watching bl Thai dramas (if anyone has a good recommendation I would like to know what dramas break this rule).
On the other hand, China produces so few bl (most of them censored to bromance, unless produced/broadcasted out of mainland) but usually the quality is quite good, Taiwan also produces way less bl dramas than Thailand but taiwanese bl are quite nice, same with Japan (although thankfully Japan is producing more and more since my beautiful man).

can you tell me how the novel will end as I read some comments and it seems it has sad ending?
I am rereading the novel now that I am watching the show because I read it a looong time ago and I don't remember well a lot of things, but if I don't misremember it is a HE 100%, the main couple had a lot of trouble with CC's family because they are obsessed with CC having a heir, but CC's sister (who is super supportive and badass) had a baby for them (they adopted the sister's baby so parents couldn't continue complaining Chi Cheng needs a son, especially since the baby has his blood since is his bio nephew). The reason why people is saying otherwise is probably because the eng translation is not complete in a lot of sites (I will need to search where I read it first time, but you can find most chapters in Wattpad)

In the novel there is a scene later in the story (related to a video of this r*pe scene) that is sooo much worse imo, it traumatised me, though I doubt they will add it to the drama, it seems they are toning things down. Btw, he did it out of revenge because Long had betrayed him, not because he was trying to escape, I think? I may be mistaken because I skipped the scene since I knew what was coming.

I see they are gonna tone down the novel: tbf, the novel is super kinky, in the scene of the telephone call where CC says "I want to fuck you" and MC says "me too", Chi Cheng is in the club aroused because the girl who approaches him trying to seduce him is licking his toes so he calls WWS (he is a kinky as hell guy, not sure if the foot fetish was him or the random woman lol) so when MC says me too (meaning he wants to top CC) Chi Cheng is so shocked he kicks the woman in the face.

I have to say, with how predictable Xianxia dramas usually are (even though I love the genre nonetheless) colour me surprised with the plot twists in this one, especially the one regarding certain character that at first sight reminded me of the annoying evil female from Eternal Love. Kudos

Put your opinion in your pocket and don't look!
The fact that one of your biggest criticisms in regards to this drama is that main actor is "ugly" (he is handsome btw, we should see your face lol) shows that you're a superficial person whose opinion shouldn't be valued....there are a lot of things to examine in a show, but putting down a drama by insulting an actor's physical looks says nothing of the drama....and a lot about yourself. You should be ashamed, especially by going to the page dedicated to S3 when in theory you haven't watched more than few eps from S1. It shows you have a lot of free time and irrational hate lol. I just hope you are a dumb teenager and not an outrageous pathetic ajumma who thirsts after young idol male actors and hates on poor actors that don't fit your fantasy type. Then people are surprised that asian celebrities have so many mental health problems...this type of hateful comments are to blame in part, and it is so sad.

One way to look at it is that it's almost impossible for someone to believe that twins will swap each other like…
I get what you mean, but although people can change, it is very very weird to have such a deep change in personality, especially since Hosu had already met briefly Mirae in Seoul...and Miji since first moment impersonating Mijae acted cheeky with Hosu (something Mirae would never do, and for sure didn't do when she just a little ago met with Hosu), she gave herself away over and over again, not just bc of her reactions and way of speaking, but mainly because she acted clueless in a lot of things Mirae should know, and she knew things Mirae shouldn't (the conversation about ramyeon at the Han river was too revealing...that's a conversation Miji had with Hosu when they were alone). The worst thing from preview it seems like Hosu doesn't even know after drunk scene... I am so sad because I was enjoying this show a lot, but now I kind of despise Hosu-Miji scenes after the swap, since I noticed from almost the beginning Hosu acted so enraptured and flustered (even jealous in the reunion friend dinner from previous ep) with who he thought was Mirae!
It is very underwhelming for me he was so moved since first moment by Miji while thinking it was her twin...but well, I hope others aren't such foolish romantic naive like me and can still enjoy fully the show
On Our Unwritten Seoul Jun 7, 2025
I am very disappointed tbh. If Hosu really doesn't know about the swap....it leaves a very bitter taste in my mouth, because of several things:
- Suspension of disbelief (Miji is as subtle as a brick wall, it's unbelievable Hosu doesn't know/suspect since the twins are so different and he knows Miji's personality very well)
- It cheapens Hosu's love for Miji in my opinion, especially when compared to teen Hosu in the flashbacks, whose love for Miji is so lovely and knows her sooo well he could tell who was who even with towels in their heads. Now, he is in front of the girl who in theory he has loved for a lot of years, that he knows like the palm of his hand, and he....doesn't realise she is Miji? It makes me mad how it feels Hosu's love is "fickle" when his love for Miji is supposed to be deep and special. It doesn't feel very special to me anymore.
-Apart from cheapening their love story (at least for me), it also gives support and a certain validity to Miji's insecurities and fear that Hosu loves her twin, and that he would choose perfect Mirae over her.
Sorry for the negativity, I needed to vent....I think I will put this drama in hold for now, and just look at your comments to see how it goes.

Overall, a good drama. Kept me hooked and entertained. My main complaint would be that this drama plays a trick that is bad writing imo: it includes a lot of "fake clues" that aren't later explained, or are just there to mislead and don't have later a justification. If you give importance to certain elements because you want audience to notice them, you can't later conveniently forget about them, or say "just a coincidence".
For example: the music (it was played at different scenes, and you want me to believe it had 0 to do with the murderer/story??, the colour red, Ina's parents, housekeeper and her version of why uncle resigned (in theory bc of Ina's parents death), the story of the boy with darkness in his eyes....
It makes the story cheaper and I feel like they take audience as fools if they are gonna pull tricks like that. In a mystery drama everything should fit nicely. But well apart from that, I liked it, specially the chemistry between main characters (as allies/friends)

She didn't kill just because she was depressed and took revenge for her mother. If she had a normal and healthy…
I don't think she is a psychopath. She doesn't really fit psycopath traits (lack of empathy, difficulty to control their urges, narcissism, avoidance of any responsability...) she is very troubled individual product of her own circumstances.
I have watched mouse (I loved it, a masterpiece) and seriously, don't know what makes you think she is similar to the psychopath (a real one) there. A psychopath doesn't have a conscience, and although they can get society condones certain behaviours, they can't really understand why. (The medical term would be ASPD).
Here, she is deeply aware what she is doing is "wrong" and she knows her actions deserve punishment but she just can't help herself because her life is irreversibly damaged by what happened, it is the only thing that motivated her to continue living: a real psycho wouldn't admit their wrongdoings, and least of all, they wouldn't be willing to meet their end (death/jail).
And the biggest reason she isn't a psychopath: she has a strong moral compass for the innocent. She wouldn't hurt an innocent even if that increased the possibilities of being caught (leaving Ina alive long ago). She made sure Ina knew she didn't deserve to bear any blame for her family's crimes, and she insisted that Ina shouldn't feel bad or guilty because of this...this type of comment show a deep lack of knowledge in what is a real psychopath (no offense, it is very misunderstood condition: people often mistake serial killers/killers with psychopaths).
One can be a psychopath and never kill, or one can kill several people while not being a psychopath. Btw, since you watch mouse, I would like to point that, while not being a psychopath gen like it is said in Mouse, it is true irl that genetic is linked to this disorder: identical twins have shown more propensity to be pyscopaths that fraternal twins.

What does the end means? It cut from the interview made it seem like Ena took on he baton that Seungjoo left behind…
I guess it is the way to leave the door open to a S2: the problem with famous serial killers cases that are followed in social tv media is that they often inspired other deranged people who worship original killer, and try to imitate them...so imo 100% chance it is a copycat killer that copies the original murderer's sign (leaving puzzle pieces)

I am pretty sure FL's parents are key to the whole mystery. Probably they are the first victims. One curious thing is that we are told by the police officers that were friends with uncle, that he was forced to resign due to some old case with a lot of pressure...but the housekeeper's version contradicts it: she says he resigned after Ina's parents death, which implies there is a connection between Ina's uncle death and her parents' death. In fact, I feel like the uncle seemed a genuinely nice good police officer prior to this mysterious case where he did something real bad...which makes me think whatever the uncle did, he did it for Ina's parents, to cover some crime of them or something, the same way uncle ordered to cover the journalist's death because Ina was involved as a suspect.
The orphanage has 100% something to do with the whole mystery too. Captain did voluntary job at an orphanage, where I'm sure he met the killer (when he was dying, he says something about everything happening because of him, and he was implying he felt pity for the murderer), the "boy with darkness in his eyes" aka probably young male doctor killed his father and ended up at an orphanage. The puzzle is a place where children love to go...Perhaps there is some children trafficking plot so they kidnap kids or just took children from poor houses by shady means (paying their alcoholic/drug addicts/gambler parents) in exchange, they used the orphanage as a cover to sell kids to the rich?? The lady from the pub would be for example the one to act as a hook for children, since she looks like a kind woman to kidnap them, or she could be the one to deal with the rich families to ease the illegal adoption. Ina's parents could have adopted her.
I feel like male doctor is an accomplice, but the main culprit is female doctor. Or perhaps male doctor is indeed the murderer, but he acted as an avenger to kill the ones to have wronged female doctor (he obviously has a crush on her). The reason? perhaps her adoptive family abused her, and since it involved a lot of people bc of her illegal adoption, all involved in the murky affair rushed to cover the perpetrator's crime so nobody would reveal the huge illegal adoption operation.
Ina's housekeeper knows a lot, I'm sure.

there is romance??
though I agree completely this drama doesn't need romance, I disagree it would feel forced.
I usually hate romance storylines in mystery/thriller shows where it doesn't add anything because it feels forced and is unnecessay, but precisely in this drama both FL and ML have phenomenal chemistry imo, though if they remain only friends/allies I will like it the same

I have the feeling that the art exhibition that Ina got invited by doctor is gonna be the key...I think it is very suspicious and seems deliberate by writters that in one of first eps male doctor insisted if she was going to go...probably the final pieces of the puzzle (final key information) about who/why/what happened will be revealed by the pieces of art at the exhibition.
