Dropped two from the list (Who Are You and Gu Family Book). Master's Sun is not my cup of tea. Only finished Nine and i agree with you that it is such a great time-travelling drama. Btw, I Hear Your Voice isn't a ghost drama and it is also a great drama, wonder why you will never watch it :)
I might watch Ando Lloyd later; it seems interesting

Just watched all 5 episodes and it's really SLOW so it's getting a tat boring :/
it wasn't boring at all for me. guess we have different views on this drama. for me, although the story hasn't got any major event so far, maybe after first two episodes, i am loving the small little things that are put up together and i think that makes this drama unique.

Thanks for the article, I have watched The Grandmaster and So Young. The Grandmaster is really good with action choreography but the story is heavy and slow. Highly recommend So Young. Nice and refreshing story.

Oh, that was fast! I had considered writing one of these further down the line myself, after my opinion had started…
haha, yeh, it's only 5 episodes but it's the first time that I follow so hard on an airing drama, like waiting and reading all the recaps and BTS and so on. Just can't wait to share this drama with others.

If it's anything like the Reply-series, I'll watch it for sure.
it's set in '90s like Reply series. the main cast is college students which adds to the similarities. But, apart from that, the theme and the story is different, in my opinion although i might have to admit that i haven't watched 1994 one.

This sounds like a lovely drama. You have done a good job with this article! ETA: I read the synopsis after reading…
yes i also didn't watch it after reading the synopsis. There is a blog (http://koalasplayground.com) that has everything about this drama - recap, review and even BTS thoughts. I went through its first episode review and became interested in this drama.

So is there 21 eps or 33?
the episode number is not confirmed yet. But people say according to past record, it should be around 20-25 episodes.

I watched Reply 1997 and loved it. I will check this one out very soon after my exams :D.
Strongly recommended to watch In a Good Way if you like both of Reply series. Its a Taiwanese drama with a 90's theme, still airing and seriously amazing. I think although the theme is 90's for all of them, In a Good Way is still quite different.

I just finished Bu Bu Jing Xin and am still craving something historical and Chinese. This, is going on the list!
You surely should watch BBJX if you like historical romance dramas.

Watched both dramas. BBJX is the best historical romance drama for me because it drew me into the drama until the end without a moment of wanting to give up. I watched BBJX first and watched Lan Ling Wang. Lan Ling Wang cannot be compared with BBJX, for me, because even after almost a year since I watched it, I am still stuck in BBJX's era. Still, Lan Ling Wang is a good drama of its own because it has a great cast.

Exactly what I was looking for~!! I currently have an obsession with chinese period dramas for some reason...…
so agree with you that Han xiao dong is a pretty big supporting character for this drama.
mysecretsoul Nov 21, 2013
I would say I enjoyed the drama although there were some moments that I feel the story is very typical and cannot tolerate the tragedies and injustices that it offers. Fell in love with Yuwen Yong more than anyone else, looked forward to every single scenes of Yuwen Yong.

Exactly what happened to me after watching Startling by Each step!! Thanks for your article.
it is a spin-off, so I have lower expectations. But, because of the OTP, I am still looking forward to it, hoping at least this time, they will have a happy ending.
