Can someone please explain the context of FCY's saying "be a good pig in this life and be a good person in the next"? So far everything has been so enjoyable though! I'm hoping I don't get stressed out later considering we have a long way to go lol
Yeah, the timeline of the main CZ/MQY story is a bit hard to follow with the drama, I can't really remember if…
Yup I do think they changed the ages, cause it's definitely confirmed that Lingbo is 19 with the conversation she had with her mother. Also the time when MQY lived with his father till he died, then got taken in by the Chang people pretty much matches up with him being 17 currently. Especially when you calculate it with his father's death which he mentioned in episode 18.
I'm sure the ages are gonna change as the show goes on but I'm pretty sure he's 17 right now. I'm not quite sure how old CZ is though, I want to assume they made her older but I can't remember if him correcting her about the age also happened in the drama when he was still playing as Chang Ning.
Usually I hate an overly obsessive male lead but sometimes it works out hehe Mumu is a very morally grey character, he almost reminds me of Xie Wei. I'm so hyped lmaoooo
For whatever reason I wanted to know their ages so I calculated it and lingbo and yuzhi should be 19 years old since they were engaged when they were 9 and she said it's been 10 years since then. As for mumu, he said he lived in the shed till he was five then spent ten years with his father and then his father was poisoned two years ago and passed away not long after. The translation is bit messy but mumu should be 17 I think.
His boo better kick everyone's a$$ then. lol. Ain't NO forgiveness.
You know they're gonna set up the story for them to forgive everyone and there's gonna be no apology either lmaooo. Like I actually need to jump into the show and handle everyone!!! Her mother too can get it!!!!
I'm actually so so irritated watching the new trailers, "his uncle hurt cai pingshu but we really think it's his dad so let's go ahead and torture the kid who was only a child and struggling himself at the time". Crazy part is he's gonna forgive them later on, like if I was him I'd need my lick back immediately!!! Lingbo, Qi Yunke, Lingbo's Lackey, everyone can get it I never gaf
From what I’ve heard, this is not as big an issue in mainland as it is for us int viewers. Also, HMH cannot simply…
I actually agree with you and even made the same points you did when someone said they could easily walk away. When it comes to entertainment industries specifically the Chinese Ent-ind, contracts are very strict and we've seen this with some actors. Moral purity tests can sometimes ignore the reality when it comes to these situations and usually don't take into account the legal, financial, and career repercussions that these contracts have.
When you mention the responsibility he has with this project especially as the first billing, I think it probably could've been harder to back out simply because Ai Mi was being considered during June along with Dai Luwa and only was confirmed to be signed during July which was when filming started.
The issue should have been corrected by whoever is in charge and I don't blame any of the actors for how this turned out though I also don't blame people for being uncomfortable since casting minors for roles such as these is often in most cases a very slipper slope.
Based on the digging I did lol, fans asked HMH on June 8 when his next drama would be last year and he said July, so it’s likely he had already signed the contract for it by that time. Once the paperwork is done, the rest is generally outside the actor’s control.
At that time, the female lead had not yet been confirmed and was still being considered among a few actresses. As of then, all circulated project materials only had listed #HouMinghao’s name (see p2), which suggests that the rest of the cast had yet to be finalized.
From scrolling through the comments, Aimi (June) along with Dai Luwa (June) and Xiang Han Zhi's (May) were rumored to be considered for the FL. ( Check the thread below)
Based on the post above it seems that HMH has been known to be in this drama since April. HYTT who has played love interests since the age of 16 was also said or rumored to play the FL at the same time but was dropped due to her scandal apparently from what I got from the comments. ( Seems like the director wanted someone young from the get go, please check his hard drive)
Aimi was only confirmed to be the FL in July due to the cast being changed frequently so HMH most likely did not know who the FL was going to be until whoever was chosen signed the contract.
This is actually horrible for both Ai Mi and HMH. I personally think Dai Luwa would have made a perfect match, however, I don't blame the actors for this. I solely blame the casting directors, Ai Mi's agency, as well as parents cause who in their right mind thought this was a good idea?
I fear If I was HMH I'd have to air the whole place out cause this puts him in hot waters even though he signed on to play the role from the beginning.
maybe she really was blind before. according to her flashback with her mother. But she recovered already but still…
I'm not saying that she wasn't blind before, I believe that she 100% was however like you said, she definitely long been healed and has just been pretending to stay under the radar!
