On It's Okay to Not Be Okay Jul 7, 2020
When he read the Zombie Kid and cried, it struck me so hard. I completely forgot how heart-wrenching KSH's crying scene could be especially during Moon Embraces the Sun. It felt so liberating and I haven't really experienced it for a long time.

I don't really prefer Burton-ish styles in dramas, but this serves the purpose of the drama beautifully!
Also sometimes you just need a heavy drama, but I'm just afraid this will glorify the nonchalant attitude (in a negative way) of the FL .

I have read Sound of the Dessert and Lost You Forever, both from Tong Hua. Any book recommendations that have…
there are some that i like such as eight treasure trousseau or to be a virtuous wife. both are novels that might be lacking for drama adaptation, but you will be satisfied just with that. most of the novels translated is still ongoing, so i'm torturing myself to wait for every chaoter posted.

if you keep watching you will even find them handsome, eventually LOL
i thought the same way before i watched it, but as @silvermcv said you will find them handsome afterwards. Besides, the story is so awesome you might regret not watching much sooner :)

I finished the korean version of Scarlet Heart .. Is the chinese version as good as the korean because i miss…
by far this one excels, so much. but probably it's because i watched this version first and the korean version seems lacking. The order is this one first, there is also same drama that takes the same story but taking different approach (Palace). The chinese movie goes after, and the korean drama is the last.

If you want the recent new show, there is a show called "Omniscient Interfering View". If you are familiar with Hello Counselor, you are going to enjoy the antics of Lee YoungJa here. Basically i drool everytime she had her food talk. It's not variety show, more talks and indoor set. But it's quite refreshing because the combination of the MC's here like Jeon Hyunmoo, Song Euni, Yoo Byungjae and other panelists that came from other professions. Never knew that discussing a lifestyle of a celebrity could be this fun!

True True! Some of the OST reminds me of Nolan's music frequently used in his movies.
I feel you. At first, i didn't get the hype around this drama especially since it's weekend drama. Watched the first episode and the music just hit you in the face, so damn beautiful. Never have i ever encountered this kind of ear feast in my years of watching k-drama (Nirvana in Fire still stands for one of the best music in all genre though, it's c-drama)

One thing that I absolutely love and hate at the same time about this drama is how they end the cliffhanger. The title would just pop up and cuts the drama off.
I love it because it is so different than other drama, making it more movie-like.
I hate it because they managed to surprise me from expecting other scene, it makes me dying for another episode.

I must say, i'm really satisfied with the ending. Maybe for some, the ending was a bit lacking because you have been spoiled with such a luxury feast of refreshing twists but my god. I felt like the ending is trying to give Eun cheon the time to have his life by himself, and no means of revenge whatsoever. The cinematography was superb, I dont think MBC has ever done the camera work so pretty since they were famous for having the lowest production costs among the three. The one which really hypes the drama up was definitely the BGM/OST, the first time i heard it i was definitely mind-blown. Not much of singing soundtrack and more orchestra in proper placement of scenes made my world so much better.

THEY SHOULD HAVE THE ORCHESTRA OST POSTED SOMEWHERE SO I CAN DOWNLOAD IT :)

Thank you Jang Hyuk, it has been the most rewarding drama I've had in my 8 years of watching k-dramas. (unlike Bad Guy :( )

I am so gonna watch Doomed to be Cannon Fodder! It's just funny how everytime she switched fate with the female lead and still be dense XD. Also, though Chu Wang Fei is not comedy and more angst, i also expect it to be made into drama. It's so good! Oh please, drama god!
