Since many people have said it's funny and can't wait for season 2, I'm interested in watching this drama. I want…
I regard Welcome to Waikiki and screenwriter Park Jae Bum's comedies, namely Chief Kim, The Fiery Priest and Vincenzo, top tier comedies! I don't wanna directly influence you to watch The Fiery Priest but I highly recommend to watch at least the first episode (1 out of 20 or 2 out of 40) to see how the comedy feels for you.
Short answer: Yes, to me it feels quite similar to Waikiki in tems of comedic style and timing, although to be fair The Fiery Priest also handles some heavier themes, while Waikiki was purely comedy.
The female lead's character is horrible. Usually those type of characters have at least some short of character development but until episode 16 there's still none... :(
I've watched countless of dramas, movies, tv shows from various countries and let me tell you I rarely ever cry watching anything. You could probably count the times I've cried literal tear over a fictional story in the palm of my hands and yet I was tearing up watching half of episode 10. It might have something to do with going through a similar experience with my family this year and I could feel this episode close and personal. Though, what I meant to say by my comment is this episode skyrocketed the drama for me to 10/10 even if I already quite liked it before. I truly hope it keeps it up and earns a spot into my all time favorite dramas. I know episode 10 is already up there into the new standard for me
Also I don't understand why someone who keeps getting contacted by a stranger and finds it very annoying and distasteful won't just block the stranger's number and call it a day
I really want the ml to give up on her and then the fl to chase the ml but I've watched too many dramas over the years to know that's never gonna happen because they always make the ml chase over the fl like a loser and a simp -_-

That aside, it was still kinda cute although not spectacular in any way. I've seen better and I've seen worst.
The soundtrack 100/100 I swear, some songs have been on my current list since I started watching the drama!!
