Congratulation for won "New Comer Actor of the Year" on CMG China Film Awards 2026 for his role in the movie The Return of The Lame Heroes. For 1st movie and won award is such a great achievement. Anyu is really something.

Anyu need more costume drama or movie if possible. Has been 2 years since his last costume drama.

I dont know much about pot pic and spoiler here, but I do interested when you make one for Anyu. He need it anyway.

It was hard to get this movie when you're living outside China, such a waste thing coz it was really good movie and rich of character and background story considering it was low - moderate budget.
Good actors, good cinematography (even bit miss here n there), good storyline, and realistic.

Anyu International fandom name is NANAKO (or sometimes also Wang Anyu Global Fandclub/Fandom). They create Instagram, X and also TIKTOK, YouTube to inform everything about Anyu. Anyu also have his own Instagram.
And don't you surprise that much of his fans also KELULIS (Zhao Lusi fandom), they even create their own NANAKO KELULI.

I found Anyu first at 2022 because of Dreaming Back To The Qing Dynasty when was actually broadcasted at 2019, his first debut. He just 20age, with so young, cute, handsome, impish face, but I was thinking at that time that he have talent considering it was his first drama.
Is quite understandable that you who came outside mainland just discovered him in TLI, even Anyu first debut was 4 years before TLI broadcast. As an audience outside mainland, like me, I always prefer costume chinese drama than modern drama. That is Anyu lack of, a costume drama. So far, he just did 3 costume dramas, the last was TLI. I am really not fans of modern chinese drama, except the story is quite interesting. That is why also I haven't following his drama after DBTQD, till TLI. The reason I watched TLI first coz I was eager to see him in hanfu, and of course Zhao Lusi.
Beside his talented in acting, music and instruments, Anyu indeed is warm, witty, friendly and extremely smart young guy.

I don't quite understand how some people have a thought that WAY is not popular and even ones suggesting that he concentration as support actor or 2nd ML role rather than as main ML role. Anyu is very popular in mainland since has been long ago, he got lots doting fans across Vietnam and Thailand also The Philiphines and now even start spreading in Indonesia. Nowadays Anyu is one of BIG FOUR along with Zhang Linghe, Song Weilong and Li Yunrui. Estimate Anyu price more than 15 million RMB/project (Estimate Zhao Lusi last price in drama more less 20 million RMB/project) which make him as mid to high payment actor.
That funny to think just because we don't know some actors, than we have a thought he/she wasn't popular. I just knew Xiao Zhan last year because of Legend of the Condor Heroes, he turn out a top tier actor in mainland with very high price/project. The same as Ding Yuxi and Liu Yuning, I knew Yuning coz of his drama with Zhao Lusi, it turn out he is a very popular actor and singer. So does Ding Yuxi, I knew him coz his piece of pics oftenly pop up together with Anyu or Linghe piece of pic, when I found out his name, Yuxi is turn out such a popular actor.

Try to watch Back for You, To Fly with You, Falling into You, Romance In The Alley and his movie The Return of The Lame Hero. My favorite are still Dreaming Back To Qing Dynasty, To Fly with You, Back for You and Romance in the Alley, and of course his The Return of the Lame hero (my TOP).

I'm absolutely agree with you that Anyu lost his precious time since he was bonded with AJTG. He wont take risk to signed new long drama when the AJTG is still valid. Seeing how unprofessional the AJTG management is, he and his management must calculating carefully not to violated the contract/agreement. Better avoid the consequences which could have bad impact for the actor.
As other drama which rumored to filming in February, let's see if Anyu would take or drop it, as it hasn't announced officially.

Last, it just my own opinion, the truth is, only all the parties involve know what exactly happening. One I know is, I must burry my dream to watch Anyu in hanfu and wuxia drama, for temporary I hope.

In my opinion, both Ester and Anyu wouldn't stay in this drama. Even they got at least DP after signed the contract/agreement, yes, they loss their precious time, and it can't be replaced with payment. Still my opinion, Ester was not replaced, she just simply wont renewal her contract/agreement after it was expired. Apparently, it was the same also with Anyu, as he just signed new drama "The Torrent" and new movie "Pegasus".
I am agree with you, this production house was simply unprofessional, bad management, reckless etc.

I have doubt both actors would stay in this drama after 2 times delaying in production (1st in September, 2nd in November), There is no time enough left to produce this drama in just 2 months. Both actors seems would leave this drama after their contract/agreement expired to avoid penalty, so does the production house wouldn't drop any of the actors after the contract/agreement signed, they would pay high penalty if they did it (both Ester and Anyu is high payment actors, Ester higher thou). So, the safety thing to do is waiting for the contract/agreement expired (normally, a contract/agreement having expired date).
My assumption, Ester contract/agreement expired in December'25 (she was casted earlier than Anyu), that is why she left after (perhaps) refused to renewal the contract/agreement. While Anyu contract/agreement expired in January'26, and apparently he also refused to renewal his contact/agreement, coz he just signed new drama and movie.
For the ones who never knew about contract/agreement (whatever it is), its seems so simple to drop everything has signed, the reality, its needed tough negotiation for just drop 1 single term/condition on the contract/agreement.
Again, it was just my opinion, I do disappointed coz it seems to watch Ester and Anyu collaboration has shattered .

The same as you, I believe Anyu will eat JXJ character. I can't wait to see him as JXJ, how he will bring alive JXJ character, how he will adjust his countenance. I have watched Anyu in different characters, so far none failed. More, God, this guy really must consider to do more drama in hanfu costume, he look damn great and handsome in it.

Give Lusi and Anyu as Huang Rong and Guo Jing for Legend of the Condor Heroes, they will be perfect for that roles. There is no story as good as Legend of the Condor heroes, I bet Lusi and Anyu would beat the famous Barbara Yung and Felix Wong. Even I like TLI, beside the very wonderful costumes also how great Lusi and Anyu acted best to live up their role characters, but its too simple both in storyline and characters, such a wasting talent for a good actors as Lusi and Anyu

The opposite, Anyu in hanfu is the one I'm waiting for. For me, he is very suitable in hanfu, the most handsome one I think, especially when his appearance as Yuan Qi ! He brought the audience emotion that was enough to say his ability to act.
I really wish he take the role as JXJ in upcoming Spring Banquet drama. JXJ character is a challenge for Anyu, and I believe he will eat it!
His role as A Lai here, I must honest it's suit well with him. I prefer he act in this kind of modern drama than total romantic drama. I'm eager to watch Ball Lightning actually not his romantic modern drama !

His popular pair was Zhao Lusi I guess, their The Last Immortal drama was hit best! Their fandom across internet space hahaha, and Lusi is younger than Anyu. This two both good actor and their chemistry is unbelievable best. I just feel that Anyu acted best when pairing with younger or same age female, he acted more natural, relax without hesitation

It seems, they like to pairing Anyu with much more older FL. Why ?

Again, Anyu acting was superb here after RITA !! The plot was interesting and entertaining, the first chines drama that I think have different plot, storyline, background and that is good coz release the audience from monotone & dull storyline and plot. I like the plot, combine together between real life and fiction, something that we didn't expect from one episode to another, gave surprise in each episode, something that seem we got more than expected. There is mystery, romance, comedy, action etc in one drama. After the 4th episode, I feel that I just watch 4 short movies in 1 drama.
I'm sorry, after watched so many chines dramas, I will give at least 8 plus rating, as I like something unique, something more classy, something with different taste.

Ah, thank you for the correction! Anyu win quite many awards during 2024 anyway, I'm confused from one to another. Indeed, he is more mature, more handsome, more well act and much more. Girls in my country kinda crazy about him!

Indeed, he is underrated actor. Maybe, because Anyu is very rare to play a role in costume drama, so far only 3 dramas. For the peoples outside China as me, maybe have the same preference for costume chinese drama than modern one. Don't know why while Anyu look damn handsome in hanfu, yet he rarely play a role at.

Waiting for Anyu in another hanfu costume, he would be look amazing as JXJ. I believe Anyu know how to do, he has thousand and more face, he know well how to play a role. It would be a challenge for him to be a cold brooding serious JXJ, coz most of time his role as an innocent cute playful ones. More, Anyu look damn handsome in hanfu!
