I've on my Goodreads's list a saga set in religious cult. Never found the courage to read it, it's…
and cows! for all the talk about Korean beef that must be my first time seeing a living cow in a drama.

Do you guys think the drinks they hand out to everyone are some kind of "brainwashing-drinks-thing"?…
I think they're just running a help house for addicts using an unorthodox methods (let's call it that way), as was shown with the drunk guy brought by the police. What would be the point of storing corpses? Good old brainwashing and milking all people's money does the trick already, while topping it with desiring the pure young newcomer by both the cult leader and his right hand levels up the creepery. Most of cult followers are old and/or sick, so not a good material for organ harvesting neither. They could run some test on perfecting the potion using people whom nobody will miss as lab rats perhaps? Or try to convert back people who stopped believing in their lies and rebelled?
But hey, where did the idea of dead bodies came from? They seem alive enough to scream. Was there a scene with a corpse?

The first two episodes were really hard to take. Violence, abuse, bullying, sexual harassment... and all the kids…
you mean that boy who looked up in the sky when the cross turned itself off?

- People are saying Sang Mi should tell her mum about Reverent Creep, but the thing is, it was happening right…
Oh, you're right. She's the one standing (but shouldn't the mother still hear a stranger and adult commenting how pleasant her daughter smells? I mean, it's not normal thing to say...). Thanks! I'm not good with unfamililar faces.
But I stand with my general opinion on parents. They know more then they're showing, but prefer to avoid the topic. It's similar with the boy. They knew he may need his sister protection, their reason for moving out in a first place might be he was bullied even in Seoul, but don't approach him directly. It bothers me to no end how such matters are always pushed aside in kdramas and movies & there seems to be no institutional protection for victims.
It wouldn't made much sense for her to fall. Her parents, yes. But the look was strange and they chose it for a freeze screen, so I don't know whether she was starting to admire him or couldn't believe the level of BS he's spouting.

I don't know about anything else, but some nice costumes you got here.
But since most of the people I saw so far are either a royalty, an elite organisation related to it or gods (? if that what the go players were?), their access to luxury items wouldn't be an issue. But I get the sentiments.
I don't think showrunners cared for accuracy at all. Frankly, don't think they ever do in cdramas, especially in fantasy romance. In the movies, maybe. In dramas I'm just glad to see any effort made and some attention to detail resulting in a harmonious even if inaccurate look showing.

It's even better than that. Sometimes you can see lots of money pumped into production with miserable effect. But here there's a style to it too, it all comes coherent and is coordinated within a frame (people with other people, people with scenery and lighting etc.). I only took a peek, but it looks very good. Go players and that group of princes in armours are my favourites from ep 1.

do you mean small kids only? Because they're high schoolers, not kids-kids.

- People are saying Sang Mi should tell her mum about Reverent Creep, but the thing is, it was happening right on her eyes, she heard 'white as a porcelain, fragrant as a balm' line, saw him grabbing her daughter's thight (at least I assume she did because camera angles and lines of unobstructed focus are iffy here, see meeting the boys on the road scene), made an eye contact with her and nodded slightly. Even if she didn't see his hand, that line alone should light a red lamp. I wouldn't count for much help from her.
- What was that look on Sang Mi face in the end? Is she going to fall for Reverant Creep speech?? Please no.
- (I want a scene of Jo Sung Ha calmly doing his roots after pulling something really stomach turning somewhere down the road. He may whistle too. Preferably with a red neon in a background.)
- I'm really digging this show visuals. Please, stay this way.
- Probably a wrong moment to mention it after everything that happened, but I'm so team Dong Cheol.

I feel some shows need a 'take your brain with you' sticker because people got too lazy to pay attention since other dramas just lay everything out and repeat a few times to make sure you got it. It's a mystery drama. It wouldn't be fun if it spilt everything right away.
Sorry for the rant. It truly is kindly intended. I started Circle forewarned and it wasn't that hard to follow, so if someone starts this knowing what to expect, it'll be easier to keep up with too. It's not a rocket science. You'll be fine. Embrace the confusion and frustration of not knowing who's who and what his/her endgame is. Everything will fall into place eventually.

I'm sorry a bit off-topic, anyone here knows what is the basis of MDL in ranking a drama according to popularity?…
I remember someone saying pageviews, but don't quote me on that. It's not a total number of votes/marks though, because math doesn't work for the most popular shows.

I don't know what you all want from the first half.

/(but what does a magpie bridge mean? is it an idiom? from the context it seems like a contact box, but I never heard that phrase before.)
On Inside Men: The Original Aug 6, 2017
The only thing I have against it is that there was ONE named, speaking female character in the entire movie (we could count an announcer in a news too, but she's just a talking head with three lines). True, that female character was a classic Lee El, but come on? All middle aged men and a bunch of hostesses/prostitutes? How plausible is that?

I wish they'd tone down dana's violence because it's getting too much, i love the fact that she's…
My point is they never seemed like a main cast from the trailers (were they even there?), and from the synopsis like just a reference point for the main two to aim.
I only saw a bit of the second episode, but from the first it looked more like two pairings forming eventually.

Why are the ratings so low?
With less than 20 votes it's hardly reliable. It's only three people who rated it below 5. But I'm wondering the same thing. The cult is vaguely Christian, not a clue how sensitive people are about it here. Maybe people are impatient to see Ok Taec Yeon finally graduate from high school (but hey, he made it to college in Let's Fight Ghost) & it's his another supernatural drama? Does Seo Ye Ji have haters? I have nothing but residual sympathy for her from Hwarang (although her voice was even cooler with segeuk speech).

Was it scary? I love ocn dramas but i cant watch horror genre.
Chilling, thrilling and intense rather than scary. It builds a nice, grimy atmosphere all over rather than relying on jumpscares or gore.
