Spoilers ahead (but not very spoiler-y), re: bulling arc & Hye Ji's character.


the are many reasons to keep it on hold, but the bullying arc isn't one of them, it doesn't last long. How they conveniently forgot that the heroine was supposed to be strong is another thing.
Clinginess aside, Hye Ji's attitude is questionable. She's dellusional, manipulative and posessive (and as the writters can only handle one likable male character at once, Hyun min is sacrificed for this). She uses Ha Won as an excuse to be in a proximity of Hyun Min and creates situations in which Ha Won keeps apologizing to her - I honestly can't tell for what and on what grounds. At this point, she exist only to lurk around and watch everyone with teary eyes and excuses than no one likes her as they like Ha Won. She's just badly written. There is nothing in her but that blind force to be with Hyun Min whether he likes it or not and we're supposed to see it as a bravery.
As others pointed out, it would be easier to symphatize with her if the great reason for breaking was finally revealed and we knew what happened between them.

I wonder how were the public sentiments shaping when those two first aired. The ending of QIHM had a very mixed reception.

I stopped doing so when they were watching stars and snow at the same time. Those temporal instabilities sucking swimmers hundreds years back are only getting worse.

They wasted Pinocchio as a title for a made-up sickness. It would fit here so much better. I can't unsee him as a non-human running around and trying to prove that he's real boy.

Hardly anyone tells 13th and 14th apart at this point and you ask about 9th.
But in all seriousness, I guess 3rd has to single handedly carry to role of the villain./ maybe not a villian, but a faction-within-faction guy we aren't supposed to root for. If the was a villian, it's not one of brothers who comes to mind...

I have to say, that's the first c-drama I saw with decent special effects (and it's always a deal-breaker for me in Chinese dramas). They look fake and idk, artificial, with this extra blurring and filters, but it plays well with a computer game aesthetics.
Or maybe my baseline is really low after several failed attempt with wuxias.

the real spoiler is that it turns out 4th has a whole assemble of those Phantom masks so he can mix and match. Neat.

As if. Due to the extra episode aired in fist week it has odd counting now, even on Mondays, odd on Tuesdays. I hate when it happens.

There are also rumours about him being a barbarian - and some of this reputation he earned himself, some is distorted (like the wolves part - he didn't fight with them for fun). He's not consider as high class as rest of the family. /or part of the family at all.

Politics (stabilizing the situation - he's chosen as a hostage instead of the crown prince or some othe more loved son I guess). Officialy: to console lady Kang, who'd lost her son (and some of her sanity). As for why is he hated so much - cultural/time differences. In a society that values physical beauty a man with his features disfigured by a huge scar doesn't have an easy life. He's a shame for his family and they want to get rid of him to avoid the issue that they scarred him themselves. As his mother said - a son is only valuable if they can be proud of him.

I don't know what's strange and what's not anymore: an ongoing show having more reviews than episodes aired or the fact that people seem to find those two liners actually helpful.

Everyone hates Hye Ji, but that Ha Won's friend is getting worse and worse every week. Those writters must be masters in writting unlikable characters and forcing them together. I don't want her shipped with Seo Woo, he deserves better than an uncaring, blackmailing fangirl throwing a fit because he dares to have feelings disregarding his fans.

I'm not saying it's presented messily (because it's not), I'm saying that from the characters POV if the rules of world(s) and its very nature are constantly changing and need figuring out, it can be considered a mess.
And I think we all agree that that a story like this requires a little suspension of disbelief from the start. It has nothing to do with liking or disliking the drama.

Not that I disagree with what you said (the comparison between the father/face-stealer's acting and that awkward thing LGS made walking in the elevator yesterday wasn't the best testimony to his range, not to mention his fights <-- vs the initial, poster-like gun holding), but how else would you imagine it, even with a more experienced or skillfull actor? (I'm asking because I'm willing to remember W for what it could be.) He was written the way he is by a second-grader fangirl, there's no much space for a character development. It would be unrealistic if he suddenly threw away the facade and started oozing with manliness.

The romance part doesn't work for me too, to the point that I wouldn't mind if the story was told from the father's perspective or with more of Soo Hee and the bodyguard in the picture.
I've become desentitized on plot-twist around the Olympic break, and long before that I was done with guessing what's next. Everything goes with me now.
If it gets messy, that's because both worlds are a mess right now. It reflects how the principles are constantly in making. I don't see it as a fault, because setting such a conditions for the story allows anything imaginable and the writter puts enough attention to details for it all to click and I can forgive her for trolling the viewer (who am i kidding, the trolling part is the best).

Let's make it clear. If anyone has a problem with the concept of polygamy, adultery or incest, that's the last call to seriously reconsider starting this drama.
