I really wish i could see more of the Emperor and Empress in the aftermath. It looks like the Emperor is falling for the Empress. It loosk super sweet.

It act as the pain reliever - constant a Tylenol. The other function is you can grind it then it neutralize all the poison. If you watch a lot these that related to gu worms, all of the drama would emphasize that gu worms can only transfer once or even none.

Actually never. The FL general soul transfer to another FL's body, who look like her twins. Thats why FL couldnt perform any strong magic because of the new body doesnt have a lot of magic capabilities. She was able to produce some later in the episodes but still not as proficient when she in her original general body .

No, not like Love in the Cloud. In this drama, the FL is not pretending to be a male. She was a female general died and soul transferred into another female's body that look very much like the female general.

I dont think he can because the worm is what neutralizes her poison. I believe the worm is complete made into medicine. Not a worm anymore.

In my younger days, i would disagree but now, yes, these short dramas are the best.

After taking a break from this drama, and starting back at ep 30, I find this drama pretty good. It has a satisfying ending and an extra episode of what's after, although the extra epsiode made the FL reverted back to her bickering self again. It was suppose to be funny but no, it made the FL seems like she learned nothing about marriage.

There were a lot of political gimmicks i.e. back-stabbing, falsifying evidence, white lies, and nobles vs commoners. And of course a scene that everyone commented about an attempted grape/DV btw ML and FL that made a lot of people disgusted.

Overall, 8.5 out of 10. There was a lot of under the table planning. At first it was boring but everything got resolved. No unanswered questions that I have like some dramas. It was a solid HE with no need pray for better ending for ML, FL, 2nd ML, 2nd FL or villian.

Too much plot holes. Too much choppy scenes pasted together that i dont feel anything for the characters. I finished the drama and I am still bewildered on what just happened...
😅 I can only give this drama a 6/10. At one time, the villainess said younger sister than older sister. That is definitely a script mistake. This was referring that the emporer have romantic feeling for his older sister.
Personally, I think sibling romance is not my cup of tea. The sibling romance was unexpected. I finished the drama only because i like ML and FL. The ML is so handsome and the drama ended happy.

I still wish that ancient people remember the Shen/Zheng in the past. I meant the Shen still died in the fire. It would not change the plot of the story if people still remember them. I personally think it would make the story flow much more.

Then again i see your point. I never thought of it as a tribulation for the Shen. That's really unique and kind make sense because those gods/goddess who finish their tribulation usually disapears and everyone forgets them. I appreciate you sharing. This idea helped clear a lot for me. Thank you.

I also like the pairing. They are so smart and well suited for each other. Unfortunately, i gave an average score not because of the actors or the actresses. I really love them all. However, it was because the story does not make any sense. Like the villian get killed in one shot and everyone forgotten the Shen family but things they impacted like the portrait still exist in the modern world?! If Pei Fei forgotten, how did the Shen grandfather keeping telling the story? Pei Fei is a man of honesty but he does not seen like someone who will tell elaborate fake stories to his kids that would make ML seen like a crazy person.

There is just too many plotholes in this drama. Even I, who usually just follow the FL and ML romance and dont really care much of the story, cant really rate this very high. The story line is weak.

One thing that does not make any sense is when everyone forgotten the Shen Family at the end, how did Shen Shaoguang (Female Lead) portrait still exist? How did ML portrait still exist? Those portrait was drawn per the Emperor's request. If everyone including the Emperor forgotten about the Shen then those protrait would never existed.

The director/screenwriter should have kept everyone memory of Shen Family. It makes sense to say the Shen Family perished from a fire and the story get passed down by the grandfather. Without everyone's memory of Shen Family, this whole plot becomes a major plothole.

Its a reminder that she cant be in a relationship with her ancestor. I dont remember when she put it on. I think the bracelet was maybe given by ML to FL when they were "1st engaged". (I am guessing)

Did anyone feel like they kill the villian way too fast? It was like 5 minutes; he's dead. The last few episodes i felt was rushed. How can ML be okay within the next 30 days after he almost died from disembowelment? Realistically, it should take half a year. If this is real life, then the ML would have been bedridden during the dethronement and the villian would live while fleeing. This would make sense then the villian get killed or captured at another scene.
Based on a general timeline, the ML disembowlment and the rebellion days should be within 20 to 30 days of maneuvering the viallian soldiers. Based on that, the ML injuries probably havent healed.

Why not watch A Dream within a Dream? Its really funny, kind of light heart and historical.

Both ML are definitely eye-candy! So cute so handsome, but the plot felt flat. There was just too much STEAM. This did not give me that "I Feel you Linger in the Air" craving that i was hoping for.
