Well, all 3 couples did love each other but fate had other plans. Anyways ren susu and qingyi did had some romance lol a love making session and multiple kisses. Good thing this drama is not straight up about war, it also have other themes too. This may not be the lovey dovey drama because it's the republican era, but it did have a touch of romance in there too.

Others said that he died but for me I feel like he survived with the open ending. Same thing as when ren susu shot herself and in the middle of nowhere in cold winter and she manages to survive. Qingyi survived so many times in the past too. While badly injured he also saw the illusion of his brothers and friends telling him to return back as his wife and kid is waiting for him. Then I also saw the leaked script that says he survived with the help of person from the Li army, he spent 2 years seeking treatments then he return to reunite with ren susu and their son. It kind of make sense, since qingyi ask ren susu to wait for him.

It's open ended as they never show him dying. Qingyi suffered things worser than this in the past and he didn't die lol

Overdo is good but the open ending doesn't sit right with me. The republican era is dark and tragic but they didn't have to make it this tragic. I'm going to need zhang linghe and wang churan to star in another drama together, but this time with a happy romance. That will serve as a redemption and heal my trauma 😭

Qingyi doesn't believe her the first time, that's why he made her swear an oath to the heavens lol 😅 so that she can't break her promise. That scene was funny and plus they look cute too.

Yeah but sometimes i feel like ren susu always tries to match qingyi energy when they bicker. Especially the scene at qingyu grave, where qingyi ask Li Bo Ze to swear on qingyu grave that Le An is Li bo ze child. That pisses ren susu off because the child is his and because she remember the ungrateful young qingyi that she saved but then he still have the audacity to say "i didn't ask you to save me". And also qingyi lowkey tried to call ren susu trash so she talk back to him that he doesn't have a say in what his 2 older brother like.

It's been 7 long years lol Li Bo Ze finally man up and take action.
