Based on the recent comments I have read, I have nothing more to add to my earlier post. Like Tk however, I will forgive and understand this YD-of-a-show and will stay until Sept. To the other community members who will be dropping this show soon (can’t say I blame you), it was nice to be able to connect with y’all. I will watch this like a friend TK never had - I will drink as I watch your journey to happiness unfold, whether it is with YD or not.
Same here. After looking at the clips on youtube, I don't need to spend an hour to see the raw. Will see it subbed.
I am not sure though hahaha i think it really depends on the writers. I haven’t had much luck with dailies and you don’t want that stress Mon-Fri hahaha
Well the makjang train is at full speed ahead. I had to keep reminding myself that I was aware of what I was getting into when I started watching this show. Why not add more stress to my usual stress in life right?! This is why I also stopped watching any sort of telenovela, however my ahjumma status is getting the best of me because I still want to know what happens next (train-wreck or not). It was easier for me to stay away when I was in my 20s 😂
- the good part for me today was that the writers really gave YD the floor to explain herself (at least to Tk. We all had an idea for her motivations as to why). It is really frustrating to watch though, but I understand (not necessarily agree with her decisions). I have friends who are single moms who use the legal route last as they want to avoid exposing their child to such trauma. With how her character has been she will not be brazen enough to ask the guy she technically just met (at the initial part of the story) to also take full responsibility no matter how much the guy wants to do that for her. If the lie was not the reason why they got together (meaning they met, dated, etc.) she would probably more easily open to TK’s support as she has less guilt about the Gongs. - However it would have saved all of us the emotional trouble if it was written earlier on (instead of being used as a plot device for later redemption) that she was able to recognize that she had TK and her family to support her( but then we would not need the 50 eps right?). It would have also been different if it was set up earlier on where she had friends who could have easily told her to get a lawyer (vs the viewers typing it in the comments). I think that is Hee’s purpose for now though, to help her realize these things (more on the personal relationship aspect. Hee also ran away because she was afraid Soo jung suing her as this was possible because she has resources).
- TK and hanuel moments were cute. I am actually happy that he got to spend time with his kid before mother dear decides to fly somewhere far again.
- I was glad they gave updates on DW and YM plot lines. I agree I think we are going to be introduced to SK’s mom. I just hope this will not turn into a storyline wherein she pursues her child because of her (soon-to-be) fame.
- If TK has one major flaw, he is too forgiving and understanding. It seemed to me that they are being consistent with his character as to being always express his feelings and thoughts, whether good or bad, and he told YD exactly that. But we all know he will come around pretty soon as obviously they will be using the JH harassment plot to for him to help protect YD and Hanuel. Like us (at least the ones who will choose to continue despite recent story developments) he will be unable to stay away from the train-wreck situation YD got herself into.
-Lastly writer/s: there is fine line for doing things to increase tension and drama vs driving your viewers to loose interest because of frustration. Get YD’s butt to a lawyer stat(on her own volition preferably but with how this is going TK may be the hauling her there right?).

I think so too. If she was the chaebol one here she would feel more secure because she has resources for that. Since she is a single mom without money I can see why running to lawyer may be the last thing on her mind.

True. I have been seeing posts in insta that this role was supposed to go to another actor but he backed out. AJH owned this role so much I cannot imagine TK being played by anyone else. I will be sad for him if he doesn’t get that award.
