Yeah the weight limit was pretty out dated, I’ve noticed that a lot of variety shows/comedians use weight as the butt of the joke and it’s never funny, but I highly doubt they would be that blatantly racist lol. I’m guessing it was probably how long they were casted for (I’m on ep 2 so idk if they come back) or a scheduling conflict which is why they implemented a “weight limit” as an excuse to write them off. There’d be no reason to cast them in the first place otherwise. I could be wrong, but accusing them of racism is pretty huge when there are other reasonable explanations.

I'm not saying it doesn't happen but I don't see how the original comment is bashing Thai culture? A lot of Thai bls are low budget churned out nonsense, the same can be said about other countries, but Thailand is the epicentre where the recent wave of bls came from. It's to be expected that most of them aren't gonna be great. Poking fun at that isn't bashing the culture (in my opinion, of course).

There’s no cheating or breaking up for the main couple, the misunderstandings get resolved fairly quickly. As for side couples, there is emotional cheating where one guy gets feelings whilst he has a girlfriend and multiple women have their hearts broken throughout, but none of the actual pairings break up.

It wasn’t awful, but not brilliant either. Ken should just give up training it’s clearly getting him no where getting choked out left, right, and centre. Also why add a supernatural element and then explain away a full body transformation with plastic surgery?? (why get plastic surgery to begin with..)

Ending was hella unsatisfying. How can you discard someone so easily after FINALLY reuniting when you’ve been obsessed over him for years? Because he killed a few people? They were literally child traffickers who cares lmao

I completely agree, it’s a variety show, I don’t know what people want from it. If they were truly trying to survive, they could easily just leave lol. But for the sake of the show they need to put themselves in “danger”, make stupid decisions and react well. There are moments where you will get frustrated with them but that’s normal for any show. If you want to watch a pure zombie survival, don’t watch a literal variety show where the whole point is to see the cast’s genuine reactions. Not to mention how varied the cast is, not all of them are proper celebrities with years of experience, so it’s going to get awkward at times (mainly Patricia imo).

You can say that it wasn’t what you were expecting, but saying it’s a bad show just because it isn’t what YOU wanted is silly. I really enjoyed it and am hoping for a season 2.

Yea there’s always gonna be people who complain that’s just unavoidable. I guess in my ideal world there would be two seasons with 100 contestants each like they do with idol survival shows. Though having the men and women mixed definitely made for some entertaining moments, the 1v1s are just not as fun for me as there’s a clear winner.

I mean if they were separated from the beginning I don’t think anyone would be petitioning to have them compete together. But in the situation that they were in, the men weren’t being sexist for thinking they had an advantage, because they did. You only need to look at the size differences to see that.

The women were also completely valid in wanting to not be looked down on because their strength is probably their biggest pride. But they never really stood a chance, unfortunately. Imo it would’ve been a win-win to have them separated so that there would’ve been more women to begin with and they can also fully showcase their abilities. It’s much more entertaining when they’re evenly matched and you really can’t tell who’s going to win.

Also because of the inherent power imbalance. The teacher is older, more mature (presumably), has a job and money- basically in a different stage of life to the student. I haven't watched this drama yet, so I'm picturing pretty little liars when talking about teacher/student lol. But it just makes it very easy for the teacher to take advantage of the student, teenagers especially, which is why there's a stereotype of creepy older teacher preying on young naïve student who doesn't know any better.
