Not my cup of tea but still a great art piece.
If you have become familiar with my reviews on MDL you will know I'm not a fan of violence in general and therefore it's a given "Somebody" wouldn't be exactly a favourite of mine. Nonetheless, I don't hate it at all: the acting is magnificent and the storyline comes full circle in the end.I think the ambience deserves it's credit as well because for many many times I felt terrified of a reality that wasn't even mine. If you are a fan of this genre and more slow paced pieces of media, you will probably enjoy this title as well.

Some dogs were harmed!
I would like to start this review by saying I'm probably not the targeted demographic for this show. i'm not very big on violence and Family Matters has a lot of it. After watching just the first episode I thought I wouldn't be able to finish the whole thing but seeing it was only 6 episodes long I decided to buckle up and take it like a champ, and I'm honestly glad I did it.Family Matters might not be SK's new masterpiece but it is a fun watch with a somewhat new concept. Not all characters are likeable at first but their character arcs worked in their favour (at least for me, feel free to disagree).
I would also like to applaud the lack of gore simply for shock value, although I'm not a fan of violence (as stated previously) and this show has it's fair share of it, none of the harm seemed to be done just for the sake of doing it: it all served a purpose to the story.
P.S.: I'm still pissed about Simbok, had to take some points just for him.

A show for the shoujo gals!
I don't understand the claims made about this show being cringe and overall bad. If you're used to shoujo anime, Onzoshi Boys will be right up your alley. It follows the same story structure and character development style. I must admit that I didn't expect much from this show but during the first few episodes my opinion changed drastically. The FL was adorable from start to finish and her friendship with the other girls was one of the main reasons why i enjoyed my viewing experience. I also didn't expect to "switch lanes" so frequently but I think the writers did a good job making us just as confused as Mugi.
One aspect of the negative comments I must agree on is about the ending: It seemed a bit forced and also boring at the same time. But again, this show is kind of supposed to be predictable, just like shoujo.
Overall it was a fun and enderearing experience for me, and definitely contributed to my journey on expanding my horizons in dramaland.

A fun little afternoon
Tokyo Noodle Factory is the perfect short, heart-warming little series to binge on a lazy afternoon. I think it is also specially useful when getting out of a drama slump or completing a drama challenge like the 52 week one.The story isn't super complex and we don't get to learn a lot about the characters but it is fun, cute and entertaining enough. But if you want me to be a bit more critical, the lack of character depth gets very noticeable at times but not enough to spoil the fun. As i said it before, it is a fun watch and i recommend it fully.

Snoozefest in the Forest, drinks on me!
I want to start this review in a positive note, so here are the things I liked about "The Frog":1. Acting
2. Soundtrack
3. Imagery
Unfortunately not even the hard work of these mentioned parts was enough to save this trainwreck. In the end I caught myself wishing the crazy lady story didn't exist at all because at least the secondary story with the failed hotel business and the serial killer had some potential, especially with Park Chanyeol's surprising great performance. Would it be a revolutionary concept with a groundbreaking storyline? Probably not, but at least it would've made more sense and would be much less boring. Unlike the other reviewers, I didn't find the show confusing or graphic at all: it's pretty easy to follow, just badly written. It seems like the writers didn't spend any time on the characters of the main story at all they simply said "act unhinged" to Go Minsi and she gave them the performance of her life.
If they cared more about the characters' backstories and motivations I feel like it wouldn't be as bad as it was. As it is right now, it's just violence for the sake of violence and that can never be art.
ON A LIGHTER NOTE: god, i love the daughter and the detective

Only SK could make me cry for a man...
*Sigh* How do I even start? At first I avoided Yumi Cell's like the plague because the premise didn't seem all that interesting to me but once I gave it a chance, the cells really got me. And then Yumi did. And then Wung.
Even as someone who could not imagine themselves with a man, their relationship got me giggling and kicking my feet until it didn't. I hated Bobby from day one. I hated how Wung seemed to change out of nowhere. I even started questioning whether they were ruining his character because of something to do with the actor.
But then I got it.
Yumi Cell's is annoyingly relatable: the characters will have you screaming, crying and throwing up and the trajectory of Yumi and Wung's relationship almost made me wanna drop the show. But then I realized that it all made perfect sense. They are both very human. The situations they get into are very real. And as much as I wanna believe everything could be perfect, that's just not reality, and Yumi Cell's makes one hell of a case for it (becoming the perfect mirror image of real life).

Would be better without the whole hitman nonsense.
As Nicki Minaj once said: Um chile anyways so...This is possibly one of the worst dramas I've ever seen, no exaggeration. The "background" plot is actually pretty cool and could've made it into a great drama if it wasn't for a few things. First I need to criticize my sweetheart Nana, what the hell is wrong with her voice?? She is not a bad actress by any means but the way she speaks in this is so freaking weird, like she is about to hit you with an earth shattering burp or something and I simply don't understand why she is doing it. Is she trying to sound tough? Is this her impression of a badass detective? The world may never know!
Now back to this b* who had a lot to say about me the other they in the press... ML what's good? As another reviewer said, it's like he suffers from a communication disorder and for some magical reason everybody around him is able to read his mind and be like "omg yeah haha you're so cool and fun silent man". Seriously this type of character is almost never done right, I think it requires a very specific plot for it to work. But tbh he was set up for failure! His storyline is boring and overdone, the whole hitman bull* is ridiculous at best and if they had cut that crap and focused more on the actual plot that we get to learn by the end of the drama, i would not have hated it so much.
Just so I don't sound like a total hater, I do think the ending was perfect for the story the writers had build till that moment and for that I gave 'Kill It' another ⋆.
