I've never watched a show that so accurately depicts the asian family household. No dramatic kidnappings, no physical abuse, but just generational pride. People that didn't understand the last arc didn't realize that the source of all her low esteem and lack of confidence was her mother and family, it's not just her personality. Being constantly put down by her mother especially made her feel like that was all she was made for. I related just so much to it and the academic pressure from parents despite being mediocre. Loved it, I really REALLY want season 2!
I thought the character dynamics were really interesting, the pacing was fast but I expected it bc of the runtime length, the acting was great by all the leads. Also didn't know it was a sequel/spin off but it didn't feel that out of place. The assassin world didn't need much explanation which I liked. The fight scenes are not the best i've seen though. Overall I just loved watching Yim Siwan in a character type I'm not used to seeing him in and Park Gyuyoung again.
i'm ngl there were some cliche, some cringey scenes but it was the good kind, like i was giggling and smiling, and i had so much fun watching all the food and the chemistry between the two leads. Netflix season 2 please..!!
Just watched it and wow. For the first time, an open ended ending was not bad at all. If they got together quickly, it'd be so out of character for them. The slow burn and growing admiration just hits the spot. The court cases were all really thought provoking too. One of my personal favs was the painting case. It just broke my heart. I also loved how they showed the good in people when they tried to convict the doctor of murder. So many beautiful moments and the ending tied them all up into a nice knot, perfectly capturing the theme of the show. It'd be hard to recommend this to someone else, but I personally thought it was one of the best shows I've picked up (and not gotten a single spoiler on). I'd be so down for a season two and I know there's room for it, but Netflix listed it as limited series which is sad :( I hope they change it! (kdrama is so great when you don't have someone complaining about it in your ear fr)
it doesnt comply with the rules they have set. it is basically a plot-hole lol. so yeah, bad writing.
exactly, and with people calling the deaths unnecessary like cmon, you think they were gonna let everyone live? the whole reason the games continued to exist was because the scum always win, whether VIPs or people like the last 8 players. That's what's so horrible about the world. Gihun ending it in that way was really a turning point, something only a main character like him could do. Die without greed for the innocent.
This show is exactly like what dong min would've made: a fun light novel. It's not the craziest in terms of plot or writing but it does its purpose well as a comedic and action packed drama about a special agent secretly attending school. I had fun watching it the whole way, just wished the overarching plot was fleshed out and thought of more and not just cliches.
Compared to what others are saying i thought the romance was cute and not over the top, which I liked. I actually like Su-a 😭
Definitely looking forward to seeing more shows with the male lead actor
the baby, with no sin, no need for the money, the only one with chance to live a life unlike every player there, lived till the end.
gihun's goal of protecting the baby was the only reason he kept himself alive and his own moral compass.
it's so poetic, i can't believe people are downplaying it to "bad writing"
