That's what worried me with the Amnesia storyline - I guess I will have to use FF a lot when trying to watch it…
The fight on the boat orThe burning house for example the burning house that was 100% her fault. She was alone, no one knew where she was and she knew there was something wrong with the leaking gas. The ML finding her was completely for the story to continue.
I'm at ep 16...besides a few scenes in the earlier episodes, it feels like the female lead is some kind of damsel in distress always in need of the male lead to save her. I hope it won't be like this for the rest of this drama. Before her amnesia she was supposed to be one of the smartest and strongest general of her kingdom. How she finds herself in some dumb BS can't solely be explained by her amnesia. I hope it gets better...
why a lee Jong suk drama has such a low rating? he usually makes great choices. how's this so far?
I don't understand why either, it's about work life and relationship with colleagues. Maybe for the younger watchers it's less relatable. The first two episodes were great. I can't wait for the next one!
I'm not a mechanic so it might be something normal... but I am the only one weirded out by seeing Phayu wearing dress shoes with his mechanics overall? I feel like it should be like safety boots or something more convenient.
I have to say for such young actors and with not many projects, I didn't expect much when I started this drama and was already very satisfied with ep 5, their intimate scene was really good and I was really impressed by how well it turned out. BUT this week episode crushed everything! I mean I felt like a peeper...it was so hot and at the same time natural! The plot is not perfect and I would have like to see the second couple more (but that's on the writer). Anyway Noeul and Boss DELIVERED!! I can't wait to see them grow and become even better actors.
I can't erase the smile on my face!!! I think might die from diabetes... too much sweetness, my poor heart can't handle it! Jesus Payu singing in the kitchen!!!
Why did we get more emotional for the unnamed hedgehog dying than for Big?? 💀
Because Vegas was attached to it and (Bible in all his awesomeness) actually showed us his love for the hedgehog. We didn't get the same vibe from Kinn / Porsche for Big...so yeah in the fight Big vs hedgehog, hedgehog wins! Sorry Big lol
not love. She's just "lusty". Sleeps with a guy who leaves her everytime the FL shows up. Switches her friends…
Haha, she gets what she can while living in fantasy world. The funny thing is aside from her relationship with Zhuo Ran she looks like the realistic and independent woman. In her work she seems quite resourceful and knows how to deal with difficult situations, her online streaming side job seems to work just fine. She has her own flat and we didn't see any conflicts with her family, so there had to be something wrong with her somewhere...
It is a bit disappointing that the "clean" break suddenly occurs, only to have Zhao Ran plotting to separate Xia…
I think that Zhuo Ran told her all about the stalking and the listening device because he knew she knew the truth. He wanted to confess and admit it to Xia Chu first, act pitiful and maybe manipulate her some more into thinking he is doing all that because he loves her. Remember he confessed about switching the sleeping pills before Xia Chu confronted him about it. I guess he wanted to used the same technique, but this time it didn't work. So he put his plan B in action and now is using Mi Gu.
Episode 25 was especially good when Xia Chu draw the line and finally rejected Zhuo Ran. I have been frustrated with her because I felt she was still listening to his advances even thought she knew what he was doing with Mi Gu on the side... Speaking of Mi Gu, I know love is blind but she is taking it to a whole different level. She's a blind, deaf, dumb and guillible puppet. I wonder how her character will turn out when she realises she has been used. At that point she might just die.
They look like they wear their military dress uniform. My guess is that the military paid for her education, so…
She is indeed in a military teaching hospital. Xia Chu's character is introduced as a military medic, military medics are different from others doctors as they have better knowledge and ability with treating war wounds. Since the beginning we haven't had many scenes seeing these army doctors treating soldiers at the hospitals. XC & LMZ first met when she was abroad for her studies, and when she came back she was his flatmate. Then she went as a volunteer at the same place he did when a natural disaster happened. There has been a few scenes of the two of them at the military camp but the most important one was when she hurt her foot. At first I thought that the fact that she is also part of the army was useful for the two of them to have more scenes & be together at the camp . But in the last few episodes we see that LMZ cousin's can also stay there even though she is not part of the military. My point is that her character being an army doctor brings nothing (as of yet) to her character development, If she was a normal doctor she still could have met him during her training abroad, still could have been LMZ flatmate and could still volunteer when the natural disaster happened and meet him there. It would have been a little harder to get in the military camp, but as we have seen in the last few episodes, LMZ cousin get in there just fine. The doctors wear military uniforms to show that they are part of the army, but this story wouldn't have had any big differences if they were just regular doctors. That's why I find the development around army doctors here too superficial and to some extent a little useless. They could have shown how these doctors treats different cases in link with the army activity and the difficulties they may encounter. Plus the female doctors uniforms actually includes heels... It's normal for special occasions to wear that type of uniforms, but for their daily activity it seems too much as doctors are on their feet all day long. To actually wear an uniform with heels and run around during long shifts is a bit unrealistic for me. There has been a lots of dramas with a soldier ML & a doctor FL, this drama with both leads in the army could have been more refreshing, but the development around military doctors' specificities is too weak...
Xia Chu has absolutely zero self defence skills...Besides wearing the army uniform there is nothing more to see. If she was just a normal doctor the story would have been just the same, so the fact that she is an army doctor add absolutely nothing interesting to the plot (and again she has absolutely zero self defence skills). Am I the only one wondering why she and the other doctors are always wearing their army uniform ? Clothes does not make the woman / man... The fact that she is specifically an army doctor could have been better developed in this story.
Thank you for your article, as many other I spent nights and days reading the novel and it was interesting. It has so many genre ranging from comedy to romance with lots of action and a whole lot of makjang vibes... I loved the female lead and son characters. I've never seen so many birth secrets in one story ! If you have anymore recommendations I would love to read them too and guess which one of our actors/actress fits best :)
