Attention seekers

I finished this drama in about a day and a half, it was fun and I enjoyed most of it. The flaw I found with the plot was too much bs that was honestly kinda boring. The repetitive story with the brother, and the business talk no one really cares for. Other than having to skip a lot because of this, I really enjoyed this cute drama. I found the actors to have good chemistry, it wasn't anything out of this world, but that was just the script, nothing too much (which I liked.) The male lead was very expressive with his eye's; this caught my eye and I though his acting was great. I didn't see his acting and think to myself "wow this guy sucks!" The female lead was very pretty and her acting was also pretty good, no complaints, she's great in front of the camera. And the baby was so cute, talented kid. Overall, it wasn't a masterpiece, just something slightly funny, and very "not taken seriously."

With this being said, I was disappointed, but not that surprised with the mediocre rating and the bad smart alec comments. This show is not fr, it's just a rom/com that's meant to be watched by someone who's probably got no life or overworked, and they just wanted to see something while they eat or to relieve a little stress. The nick picking is honestly cringe; this isn't Shakespeare or some other author where dissection of each line and scene should be done to further our knowledge on such writing techniques. It's just some random drama. I don't get the complaining about the plot when it was kinda something new. I saw some complaining on the events of the romance as well as the question of why a love triangle was needed. Honestly, when is a love triangle not used, even a little. The show was cliche in some respects, and i think that's common/fine. I was okay with the way the romance unfolded, it seemed more pure, though i wished her decision would have had a little more interest besides just realizing she'll never see him again. Even so, the way it was written was fine in my book. We are entitlted to our own options so people can nit pick all they want, i'm simply adding how corny it is to freak out over a kdrama rom/com.

I hope they never see the comments some write about them, their looks, how they seem on camera, and whether or not they seem worthy enough to grace our screen. How exhausting. Overall, i would do what you want, not listen to comments, and form your very own opinion. chaooo.

Dear. ImCOnfused

Dear. X was a great was to end the year. 2025 failed to make a great impression on me. I can't really think of show stopping, amazing, spectacular shows from this year... Maybe like officer black belt and like season two of WHC2? Idk, it failed miserably. I think other years have done better, and i can already tell the new year will be much better. Some of the dramas that started in 25' and ending in 26' are still airing like "ProBono," which seems promising so far.
Anyways, this was one of the highly anticipated shows of the year. I think the directors did an amazing job with the filming of this show. the scenes were amazing and very emotional and dark. Some parts cringed me out like the clips of her at the cathedral style award building, it looked so green screen LOL. But the show was filmed great, nonetheless.
The scripts and storyline is where more issues pop up. I don't have a problem with the characters themselves, i think they were actually written really good. They had a lot of dept and went through many emotions throughout the course of the episodes. I actually appreciated how dark they made the episodes, even going as far as to kill off all of those who are around her. It showed her true colors. The problem I have is with the ending.
Maybe, I'm not intelligent enough to understand the ending, but i found it to be too loose ended. I literally have no idea what happened. The whole country is looking for her, her childhood best friend just died, she managed to run off, and all you see if her staring at the car in which her friend is dying in, and it's... OVER??
I feel that that ending was high key terrible idk? I can't really even think of maybe other possibilities because it was so bad. I guess i can see how maybe the writers what the watcher to make their own conclusion, but the only thing i can think of is that she wouldn't be able to achieve her dreams of being on top, now that she's sacrificed literally everyone around her and for nothing. I assume she would be found and put on trial for EVERYTHING she's done. So, i guess the writers knew what they were doing, but i couldn't help but feel empty afterwards, and maybe that was their intention the whole time.

After some time i think I've thought of ways to end this show proper because after sharing my opinion on TikTok through a comment section, a girl attacks me, telling me that if i didn't like the ending, " i didn't understand the show." ??? My initial thought was to be embarrassed for this person... idk i always thought that these types of things were opinion based or at least just many perspectives. Anyways i think that the show could have dived into her mental health disorder towards the end. They could have shown her even getting treatment at a mental hospital for her clear issues. I think this would have been a better ending for a show that's definitely not getting a second season, idk i just hated how open the actual ending was. Cause how are they gonna barely mention in the end how she got issues, but then not go into it as it pertains to her really...

PERFECTION.

Almost everything about this show was perfect. It has to be one of the most visually beautiful shows i've seen. The slow burn of the ML and FL getting together was worth it.

Though there were wayyy too many eps, i NEVER felt like i was going to drop the show. The script, the aesthetics, and the directing were all beautiful.

Her taking the place of the real jiang li showed her pure dedication to get revenge on her ex-lover, but also for jiang li and those who did her bad.

Fang fei was able to do everything she put her mind to it, even if that meant asking Duke su for help. Which eventually led to their beautiful relationship.

Idk why but when tong died, i cried so hard, her death was very pitiful and sad, that was all jiang li knew, and though now the two could reunite, fang fei who was now jiang li, only had tong to trust and know about who she really was, and now she was dead forever.

Meh meh.

This movie was alright, but i have to admit it's iconic. There were scenes from this movie that went very viral, and the actors did a great job. They've worked together more than just this film, so the chem. of them working together is there, but the movie wasn't spectacular, it was just alright, nothing more, nothing less.

AMAZINGGGGGGG

I watched this show maybe two years ago and its just like one of the best shows. for me. its a top 5. I really liked and was surprised by the low rating. I liked it so much that the day i watched it, i finished it by pulling an all nighter. It was that good. I won't spoil too much, but this show was amazing. The only flaw i see was the unnecessary ass storyline where he "has cancer" as a way to leave for a while to finish school or some bull and the age difference thing was kinda weird. another than that the show was greattttt.

recommend

I don't have too many shows where they get a q10, but this one was def one of them. I liked this show so much and i enjoyed the plot. I usually struggle to even watch 16 eps, so the fact this one has 20 and i really enjoyed it shows how great it is. The acting and actors did a great job and i don't really think i would replace any of them. If you like not too much romance or watch a little break, but still want a little hint of it, i recommend this show. They only kissed like one if i remember right and the rest was focused on Vincenzo's and Hong whatevrrs mission. I really like the storyline with the younger and older brother, i was super sad to see the younger one die, but it added to the story. Also, the last frames of torture were gruesome, but phenomenal.

Without that melancholic feeling of a trashy life, but great friends.

After waiting months and months to equal years. This season was not as extraordinary.

Season one was so profound and like others, yet extraordinarily its own kind. It gave this weird, blurry blue vibe that felt so nostalgic, it felt like it was obviously not cheap to make, yet not as expensive as season 2 HAD to be. Season one was practically perfect; it was sad and extremely action pact.

Season two felt so much more production. Which is fine it just gave a completely different vibe than season one. WHC1 was melancholy yet Si-Eun was happy when he finally let himself have friends. WHC2 was weird between the friends, almost like Si-Eun accepted them, but never like he could ever be how he was when he was happy with Su-ho and Beom-soek. Yes, I'd say it's obvious I'm those loser fans who can't let go of the OG cast, which is half true since the disappointment of not even a big hug from the reunion at the end, for me, was utterly a big dissatisfaction.

Though I seem to only be complaining, season 2 was good and the cast was so well casted, just maybe Baek-jin was casted a bit old looking, the characters looked like older version of the webtoon drawings, if that makes sense. Jun tae and Hyeon tak were 10/10 castings. Their team seemed to really be pushing Seong-je, but he wasn't really in the show as much as I expected. I'm proud of Park Ji-Hoons amazing delivery and his character was great, but they made him seem like such a weak fighter, and I get that he's not really supposed to be the best but comparted to season1 he fought harder. I understand he tried to not fight again because of Suho as he promised not to fight again, but I don't know, maybe it was a bit disappointing to see him lose.

I found the gang fight to be entertaining, but basically Si-eun was fighting for the cause of a friend that's making his problems with his friend, everyone else's problem. I think they should have continued as they did in season one where maybe people try to pick on him and he fights others and maybe gets revenge for Suho (idk.) I just felt the gang fight was weird.

Also, maybe my take on the above is wrong because I haven't read the webtoon, but just my opinion.

The show was good they just missed the mark by a few. I'd still recommend anyone to watch since the show is a must and was good, they should have tried a bit harder on the script because don't get me started on making the viewers try to feel bad for boem-soek and making him and si-eun like as if they miss each other and the weird ending where si-eun see's Suho finally awake, yet literally like no good conversation after making viewers wait years.

Si-eun loved su-ho like a brother, yet boem-soek took him away for years, i'd imagine he'd have some sort of resentment and self-guilt over what happened with boem-soek, yet somehow their like okay with even seeing each other in si-euns dream. To me, even though boem-soek was pitiful and lonely, he still hurt someone badly. This is never okay. So, maybe i could look into why si-eun didn't hold resentment toward boem-soek, yet hated himself over it? but idk it doesn't make sense to me so i should look that up. The ending was crazy. How do you see your friend who you missed so much you texted his phone while he was in coma, yet you have the tamest conversation once he wakes up, not even a little hug or a handshake. ALSO, WHERE IS SI_EUN'S GRAY ZIP UP. They abandoned it completely >o<.

I'll rewatch until I'm 80 and though it wasn't as soul ascending as season one, it was worth watching and i hope that if they make a season three where su-ho and si-eun can happily enjoy being BFF's, then this season was only a little stab by si-euns pen!

NO!

Honestly, no. I didn't really fuck with this show. It was such red flag energy from the ML and i just wanted to bonk miss girl in the head. It's crazy cuz the second lead was so honest and prolly good for her, (my opinion idk.) i just wouldn't watch it. And there was so much unnecessary s#x scenes but whatever, i just wouldn't recommend. Actors did great tho!

JUST AMAZING

HANDS DOWN ONE OF THE BEST DRAMA IN HISTORY THAT I HAVE EVER LAID MY EYES TO WATCH! I recommend every one watch it. it was pretty good because i watched it when i first started watching dramas. I kinda hate romance shows that mid-way through, end up being a crime investigation. I get it if the show is about crime, but why mix romance and crime EVERY FXCKING TIME. idk i just got tired of it, but this show did a great job and the acting was pretty good from what o remember. I genuinely think they could have not casted any better people, though it's sad the actors behind the scenes. There are also so many ost's that i liked and still listen too today! I wish i could watch it for the first time again. Its cute and mysterious and keeps you on your toes. This is the show where i started to support park bo young! overall i loved it and recommend for new watchers and old too.

kinda reheated

I watched this with my dad since he really wanted to watch it, at first I was a little nervous it might be kinda inappropriate to watch with my dad because some kdramas get r rated for a little, but luckily there wasn't any. SO, if you're into that stuff, you probably won't like this show, but it was my cup of tea.
The cast was good, but idk how i feel about the ML, i think she did a pretty good job tho so idk. The male lead was great at being a petty king and the side characters were just as good.
My problem starts with this show lowkey being reheated nachos of Mr. Queen. It's not the exact same, but it had to have been somesort of inspiration. Or maybe the idea is so basic that they overlap? Both were good shows but they are so similar it's impossible to not think of the other a little. In the end they both end up in the modern world in some way.
I liked how in the end they reunited in the 21th century. Better than her having to be trapped in such ancient times for a boss lady chef.
I had a huge problem with his weird personalliy and lowkey anger issues. He was very cynical in his thinking, even if we can argue that maybe that is how he was raised, it's still gross how he thinks so little of a human life. Even treating the ml so terribly before he ends up falling for her... I also don't like how he cheats on his wife with the ML. I understand they dont love eachother but wth? Are we serious? Not even the slightest attempt to make him seem guilty of adultery. And the ML seems too okay with it as well.
I think a 9/10 is good enough and maybe even a little too generous.

Hypa

I watched this 18 days ago and I thought it was very good.

I've seen this actress on my screen through The Kings Affection and Extraordinary Attorney Woo Young Woo and I liked her in both. However, when I attempted to watch her in Castaway Diva, she almost seemed to still be acting like attorney Woo. I get that she was on an island for so long, but maybe I just felt it didn't fit well. Despite my opinion of her poor portrayal of the lonely island girl, I think she outdid herself here. Her acting was incredible and undeniably good. Though my harsh words earlier, it's quite obvious Park Eun Bin has talent!

I also enjoyed the presence of Yoon Chan Young after High School Return of a Gangster. He did just as well as I felt pitiful for his character. As an aspiring nurse, I felt bad he couldn't study much...

The production was great and was obviously pretty high budget. Overall, I was impressed, and the script was good. Good until the end... I felt they rushed to close it off, only to let you know she won't be operating on her mentor and instead we have to wait for season 2. For this I deducted one point.

The show was great until the last one to two episodes, which was slightly disapointing, I would still recommened to a friend to watch.

Till season two...
