You mean Do Ha right? Because Su Ho is pretty much innocent. But what was so good about Chris in the OG? Or S1 William? Sure, they were popular, but saying they were good people feels like a bit of a stretch. I don't mind this change, because Chris was never really that relevant as a character, and he doesn't really matter in the grand scheme of things. William (Su Ho in this case) does matter, and making him more innocent here is something I think works, because Noora (A Ra) also feels softer here than she did in the OG, which puts those two on an even playing field. Not everybody is a good person, and Do Ha just isn't a good person, and maybe that's okay.

Okay, I was confused for a bit, but it does seem like Kang San is with Mi Na to avoid his real crush. Sure, avoiding a kiss because she's drunk is the right thing, but it seems obvious that that's not exactly the real reason. They better follow the OG Skam story here. The one thing I don't like about this whole thing is that Mi Na is yet again gonna be the one with the broken heart here.

Also, it kinda seems like A Ra has convinced herself that she can't like Su Ho. I do understand that, and I fully understand why she's being cautious, but he genuinely seems like a good guy. It's interesting, because in the OG he was actually a player, but here there's the preconception of him being a player, when he's not actually one. Regardless, I'm totally rooting for them.

Honestly, both shows couldn't be more different from each other, and I have no idea why Hierarchy is even listed under "recommendations" here. So directly comparing both shows doesn't seem exactly fair, but for what it's worth: I didn't like Hierarchy at all, but I do really like Fragile.

It would be if it was her idea, but it wasn't. That date only happened because he managed to convince her into it under the guise of it being repayment for the broken phone. Heck, it was basically A Ra that further convinced her to do it just so she could get it over with. You can call her naive, sure, but she never actively pursued or made any moves on him.

Close enough lol. There's still enough room for debate, mostly if you don't know the original story, but for those that do, this is as obvious as it gets.

Also, A Ra calling Do Ha stupid in front of a whole bunch of students was just incredibly satisfying. I'm so glad they still adapted this confrontation scene from Skam, even with the different context.

Okay, but Kang San is definitely lying about liking Mi Na lol. It literally makes no sense?

"I have someone in mind, but I realized after seeing that person struggling. I like this person. But I can't even express it. All I can do is listen like a fool. I'm done doing nothing." Him saying this just made me even more convinced that he likes Chan Seong. Why else would he confront Ji Yu like this? If he likes Mi Na, then he should be confronting Do Ha and not Ji Yu. And if he likes Ji Yu, would he really confront her like this?

Did you forget the scene where she blocked Do Ha, or the scene where she didn't reciprocate his kiss and instead stopped it? The fact that he has a girlfriend and made moves on somebody else (that he knew also had a boyfriend) makes him the guilty party, and not her. Ji Yu isn't perfect, but maybe we should put the blame where it really belongs.

Being attracted to somebody else while having a boyfriend isn't the massive sin you're making it out to be. That's just human. What matters is whether you act on it or not, and she never did.

Aren't they just trying to mislead us? Because if he has a crush on Ji Yu, why spoil that when the show hasn't revealed it yet? The show kinda made it a mystery instead. Unless that's not the real twist (also, Chan Seong is in a lot of these photos though).

I've been wondering this since the beginning. This is so obviously Skam, so I don't understand why they went out of their way to say that this isn't a remake, when it so obviously is. Is it because they changed the Muslim character to a SEA character? I might be wrong here, but I think SK has a very small Muslim population, so this choice seems more one that was made to better adapt the story to those of the SK youth, and not one made with any malicious intent. Her personality and the racism themes are still intact, so I don't think this choice should immediately exclude them from being an official Skam remake?

When it was announced that this wasn't a remake, there were lots of rumors that it was because they removed the queer aspect. I've always doubted those, and I still do. Isn't this show aired on an online platform? So any censorship guidelines that the big networks have to deal with should not apply here (and this shouldn't even be cause for censorship in the first place). On the one hand, Kang San not being gay because homophobia sadly wouldn't surprise me, but on the other hand, I still feel like everything is set up for the final twist which reveals that he actually had a crush on Chan Seong.

It's a wait and see on the last part, but imo, no change that is made so far is even remotely big enough to disqualify them from being a Skam remake. Other remakes have made far bigger changes with no problems whatsoever. So I guess the mystery continues as to the real reason.

Darn, everything got revealed all at once lol. Kinda feels like that happened a bit too fast, but I guess that's the downside to trying to cram the 11 episodes of Skam S1 into 8?

Regardless, I really hope Mi Na realizes where the real guilty party lies here, and it certainly ain't Ji Yu. Seriously, Do Ha basically took advantage of Mi Na's naive persona & innocence, and also took advantage of Ji Yu's heartbreak. And then we haven't even mentioned the possible other girls he's been seeing, which was heavily implied last week. Can somebody confront him about all of this? I really need this to happen.

A Ra is the absolute best for checking in and standing up for Ji Yu when nobody else did. I love her. Also, I can't believe Su Ho just gave up his table for A Ra and Ji Yu, even the drinks were still full. I was expecting him to flirt with her in a big way, but instead he turns into a puppy that honestly even seemed kinda nervous? Very relatable honestly. For a character that's supposed to be based on the William character, that was the most unlike William I've ever seen him. I like it.

I honestly think that's very in-character for Mi Na. I think she can be a pretty naive person in certain regards. It's pretty obvious in the bathroom scene. She's trying so hard to make herself believe that her boyfriend is faithful only to her, even when all proof points out that he's most likely a massive cheater. And she lashes out at people who actively try to point out that truth to her.

I'm 99% sure they're still doing the original storyline, but they just want you to think he has a crush on Ji Yu. The scene in which he confesses that he likes a "close friend", and that he's "confused" (and how she immediately assumed it was a "her") only made me more certain of that. Something about that scene felt not subtle at all.

Also, with the end of episode 4, we've reached the point where I think the Skam S1 story really started to take off, so I'm really excited for the second half here. I'm gonna be very disappointed if they don't adapt certain scenes though.

Not gonna lie, I think it's pretty hypocritical of Chan Seong to blame Ji Yu for lying and keeping secrets, when he's doing the exact same thing.

Also, they did the kiss! I've been wondering whether or not they would, and how they'd do it. It's still not right, but Ji Yu's relationship status feels rather ambiguous here, and the kiss doesn't feel that reciprocated. Feels more of a grey area here compared to how it was in Skam.

Also, whoever pointed out last week that Mi Na's boyfriend might be Do Ha, I'm fully on board with that theory now. It's gotta be him, right?

No, but seriously, who kisses somebody that is crying because she just "broke up" with her boyfriend?

I really don't understand why they gave him amnesia for over half a season when they could've just shown us all of this instead...
