yes agree, SOT is underrated and I suppose it has to do with the expectations of pairing, screening time of the leads and not a typical get together story of the main characters. But this is what makes this story for me so interesting.
In SOKP very positively surprised by the character ZLH prepared :-)
And yes also fan of Bai Lu, her characters always have a certain strength in the roles she takes

Yes, I started watching SOKP … I wonder how comes, there are dramas using the similar idea, screening in the same year and so close to each other.
It is somehow hard watching SOKP after the acting, dynamics and storytelling the way it is set in SOT – It is impossible to avoid comparison of both dramas and for me as well SOT is this surprising underdog of the year.

PS: yes, highly recommend you the FITYMI, specially as you are enjoying a lot the narrative and everything in this drama, RWTW!

The last one definitely way more interestingly and better researched / written and acted than Only For Love (apology in advance for those who might read it later, no offense to the OFL and specially the fans, just a personal opinion)

with the business side of the story I find it a very light way to share how this part happening globally affected this region. And I am also very thankful for this drama, while the story is about trying to rescue a 100 years old business and factory with very proud Chinese history and rooting along those 100 years, they manage not to fall into the ideological national trap that i witnessed in some other dramas, but keep it smoothly so it makes it more universal and relatable for viewers no matter the geography

yes, for me RWTW is one of the surprises this year, another one is SOT, also FITYMI… the storytelling is just continuously stable and interesting and the actors a discovery

Actually, we kinda all forget about it, but in episode 1 there was a short seductive game initiated by her. XS was trying to approach and find the ways to get to talk to her father, hence decided that she can do it by "using" her. She responded to that intent quite "aggressively", taking what was his intentions to the accelerated point of a quite steamy moment, just to pull him literally away a few seconds later, exposing his intentions.
At that moment she was a bit tipsy, but what she has done and the way she has done it was very very soberly played.

So hmmm this consent or not … i think this first close scene between them kinda set the tone about this being a situation of adult ways of push and pull. So it is not only about "please give me your consent now as I am bout to kiss you" there is a tacit game going on and whether the director achieved to transmit it to every viewer or not - its depends on the perception of each viewer

… I am also not really sure she was soo absent with her memory … at some momens it feels like she "chooses" this strategies, just because she doesn't know or is not sure to be able to handle the package of having a business relationship where she depends on this person and the romantic relationship at the same time - this creates for her a really big complications at this point and this is what she said in ep 19:
if there is another kiss she will not know how to face everything properly, not that she not wanted.

Yes, "Only for Love" makes impression that all the talks are just to fillers so the viewers can enjoy the good looks of the leads (and even if I am a big fun of those 2, the drama and storytelling quality is disappointing)

In this drama, the plot which is based on the story of a business situation is weaving the base for the hole romance to happen. Even if the romance is not visible as such at first, it is sprinkled all over into the story and makes the both parts really interesting.

I had no expectations about this drama vs very high expectations about "only for love" but my impression of both is the oppoite o what was expected

True, and also about the mother and construction of the character: its so interesting that XS has mother and his all family is actually devoted to the factory they have … and he gets attracted to a woman, JH, who is also so passioned about the factory and generational business … everything that he is actually working against and despises …
I am waiting to the following episodes to see how his character will grow on this matter as well :-)

BTW, I mean, it's of no importance by now, but I suspect that ZYL would be very comfortable keeping his both wive and concubine, instead of giving HQ a divorce. The problem was, the ladies didn't play along.

It is rather a female lead centered story, who's life is surrounded and influenced by male leads, all in a different way.
As of now (25/30 episodes streamed) you will find different opinions here, ones are shipping for the ML on the poster, others are sided with the 3rd ML, everyone has their favorite. some just wish her to be happy no matter what and who.
So all I can say for sure is the FL actress rocks :-)

But looks like she went for it all. At this point she is assuming all the responsibility and blame for all the wrongdoings for her family, I guess, she is not expecting to come clean from this one at least as one of the outcomes.
And the Lord was clear to not accept by any means her and her family leaving the town.
So by cutting Meng young lady's face HQ makes sure, that girl would bear with a scar for the rest of her life, which ,in that time this drama is happening, will make for Meng lady almost impossible to get married properly.

While HQ didn't break "really" the agreement she made with the ZXW on this matter, she turned it into rather the act around "women fighting over a man" thing.

sure, he is always in cool fighting scenes. I guess that might be one of the reasons for this actor to want this role :-)
Of course, nothing against the both main leads, he just has a different storyline

its a bit misleading as it was based on the novel, there is no time travel in the drama

yes, this is what I am struggling with in the case of his character / or his acting  … and as viewers in the drama we are supposed to get transmitted some more hints into his internal world, than how it usually might happen in normal life
