What are the chances? I randomly finished watching My Lethal Man today, and then watched them again, making a cameo here, on the same day! Am I being haunted... or blessed? š
if u watched it for so many times u shouldāve realized by now that he fell in love with both of their personalities…
And I totally respect that. Everyoneās got their own way of seeing things, and thatās what makes discussing the show so fun. For me, the king fell for Bong hwan first. It doesnāt matter whose side youāre on, what matters is that we enjoyed the show, and hearing different opinions just shows how layered and interesting the story really is.

Letās be real, if the switch had never happened, the king wouldāve never fallen in love with the queen. He literally wanted her dead. She probably wouldāve died if Bong hwan hadnāt taken over.
Everything changed because of Bong hwan. The king fell for the way he acted in the queenās body; confident, unpredictable, totally unlike the old Soyong. By the time the queenās own emotions started surfacing, the king was already in love. That emotional stuff came after.
So no, it doesnāt mean he loved both. He was already interested way before any trace of the ārealā Soyong started slipping in. The feelings were for Bong hwan. Period.
Yes, but that lead to new rules that even when they air them outside China it can lead to bans for the actors…
From what I understand, for now that rule only applies to the international versions of Chinese streaming platforms like iQIYI International or WeTV International. So they can still go for non-Chinese ones like GagaOOLala or Viki. Feel free to correct me if Iām wrong. That said, I get why they wouldn't want to take any chances.
b!tches so invested in his personal life. Almost 70% of kdrama fans are songsong fans it was ship like never before.…
āShe confused shippersā? Seriously, how is that her fault? She posted normal things, and some fans overanalyzed them. You painting her as the "villain" here is completely unfair. She handled the divorce quietly and respectfully and never attacked him publicly. They kept most of the divorce details private, so of course fans were left guessing.
Both of them went through a really tough, personal situation. No one is really at fault. The mess came from the circumstances, how it played out in public, and fans getting way too invested in the perfect āSong-Songā couple fantasy. Blaming her for that just shows a lack of perspective.
PS: Just to be clear, Iām not saying Joong ki was at fault either. Iām saying this as a bystander since Iām not a fan of either of them personally, I just enjoy some of their work. Iām trying to stay as neutral as I can.
could someone please explain why people hate SJK? i know he divorced his wife, but i dont get how that could've…
Honestly, most of the hate toward SJK isnāt really about the divorce itself, but more about how it happened. He filed for divorce on June 25, 2019, and the very next day it was announced through his lawyer. From what insiders said, both he and Song Hye kyo already knew and had talked privately, but instead of publishing a joint statement, his side went public on their own without giving her any heads-up.
Because of that, it made it seem like he blindsided her in public, even though she knew about the divorce itself. Fans were already super invested in them as the āperfect coupleā from Descendants of the Sun, so the sudden public announcement upset a lot of people. Basically, most of the negativity came from the way it was handled, not the divorce itself.
Edit: Some people also criticized him later for remarrying quickly and having a child with Katy Saunders in 2023, though I donāt really see that as a reason to hate him, Iāve just seen posts online about it.
admins please change the poster back š the other one looks so crisp, this one just looks cheap. with the other…
I agree that the previous poster looked better and stood out more, but that was only a teaser poster. The production team has labeled the current one as the āmain poster,ā so even if you submit an edit, itāll likely be rejected since this is the official main poster.
I watched "The Prisoner of Beauty" first and really liked it, but "A Dream Within a Dream" is…
Finished watching, and Iād easily rank this as one of the strongest in its genre. Comparing the two purely on the enemies-to-lovers arc, Iād still give the edge to TPOB. While this drama handled it well, the angst in TPOB carried more weight for me than what ADWAD delivered.
Regression/Transmigration theme FL supposed to be smart. But I don't know why they made this FL so annoying for…
āSupposed to be smartā is such an odd expectation, because⦠based on what? Just because sheās a transmigrated FL doesnāt mean she automatically gets a genius-level upgrade the moment she wakes up in another world. If anything, I thought her reactions were more believable. She panicked, she messed up, she acted impulsively; like a real person would if they suddenly woke up in a fictional world with no rulebook. Honestly, if I were in her shoes, Iād probably do worse.
I get that people want the āclever strategistā type of female lead who always outsmarts everyone, but isnāt that kind of boring at this point? At least here, the FL was written with flaws and confusion, which made her human instead of another perfect cardboard cutout. So yeah, maybe she wasnāt āsmartā in the conventional transmigration-drama sense, but thatās exactly what made her character work for me.
At the end of the day though, everyoneās perspective is different and thatās fair. We all watch through our own lens.
This might be one of the first dramas since 'A Journey to Love' that Iāve finished this quickly, especially…
FLās so-called āsacrificeā: That overused trope where she pulls the whole āIām betraying you, but itās secretly for your own goodā act. Many dramas with this kind of storyline fall into that trap and then drag it out for five or more episodes, which feels like a pointless detour.
Iām honestly so grateful that whoever was in charge of the creative choices here decided not to go down that route. Skipping that entire arc kept the pacing tight and spared us from a frustrating, meaningless side-quest. It made the story feel way stronger, and itās one of the things I appreciate most about how this drama was written.
This might be one of the first dramas since 'A Journey to Love' that Iāve finished this quickly, especially for one of this length. It honestly took me right back to my lockdown days, when Iād binge through a whole drama in a day. Now, I donāt know if itās just a coincidence that both of them happen to have LYN in them, or if itās because he (and his team) really knows how to pick the best projects. Either way, his acting being top-tier goes without saying.
That said, I canāt wait to finish the last two episodes and finally dive into ADWAD. I still have two episodes left, but I donāt think the thing I was worried about is actually going to happen. And if it really doesnāt, then that ends up being one of the biggest positive points for me; it completely changes how Iāll remember the drama in the best way possible. Thatās the kind of detail that can make or break a story for me, and here itās looking like itās handled exactly the way I hoped. What I'm talking about isā
ADWAD. It had the better overall script (no pun intended). TPOB I think only serves well in the romance department,…
Really?! Iām almost done with TPOB, and even though a lot of people didnāt enjoy it that much, I actually enjoyed it all the way through. I do agree that story-wise it was lacking, but sometimes the chemistry between the leads is enough for me, and they definitely delivered on that. Seeing that people enjoyed ADWAD more just makes my expectations for it even higher. Can't wait to start this one.

Ah, thatās actually very helpful, thank you! Iāve already started the other one, so Iāll stick with it for now, but I will get back to this one ASAP. Also the way you described ADWAD makes it sound way more layered than I expected. Iāve been a little iffy about transmigration dramas since I've watched many in recent years and a lot of them donāt really do anything new with the premise theyāre given.
For me it's TPOB all the way! Both shows have a strong and compelling opening but unfortunately, ADWAD kind of…
Yeah, I already started TPOB and Iām loving it so far! And yeah, Iām a sucker for the enemies to lovers trope, so I think Iām gonna have a blast. The only reason Iām a bit hesitant about ADWAD is because itās a transmigration genre drama. Nothing against it, just that itās been done too many times in recent years, and they usually donāt have anything unique to set them apart or much of a surprise factor. Thanks tho!
So far it sounds more like on-set audio than studio dubbing, so pretty sure itās their real voices. It also matches how they sound off-screen, so yeah, likely their own voices..
