I only now saw this comment after posting mine, but I do consider as well that Meng Ziyi's characters are always the same, at least the dramas Ive watched so far with her, and no, I'm not a hater at all! 🤷♀️🤷♀️🤷♀️🤷♀️🤷♀️

Meng Ziyi is as beautiful as ever. This is the fourth drama I've watched with her. Previously, I watched "The Heroes", "Blossom", and "Princess's Gambit". However, I feel like her characters are becoming repetitive, they're always the same: smart and cunning.
I hope her next drama will be different, although I doubt it. At least the one with Lin Yun Rui will probably be similar to these four.
I've watched the first four episodes so far. I'll keep watching until at least episode 15 before deciding whether to continue or drop it.

The drama was centered around Lishan Academy from beginning to end, and it concluded exactly where it was meant to, with Lishan Academy at its heart.👏👏👏
I just finished watching this drama, and I'm extremely satisfied with it. I don't think it went downhill at all, in fact, it had a very satisfying ending in every way, especially regarding Linshan Academy, which was at the center of everything.
If anyone is looking for this drama to be romance-focused, well, it isn't. So if that's what you're expecting, you won't find it here.
Even though there weren't many fight scenes, I thought the ones we got were excellent, both from A Li and Mo Xiu Yao.
As for the emotions the drama conveyed, I don't even need to mention them. Both leads delivered, as they always do, giving us so many heartfelt and emotional moments.
I think there's only one thing I would have changed, and that's Princess Lingyun's storyline. But you can't have everything, it would be too good if everything turned out exactly the way you wanted, completely flawless.
For me, this drama is a solid 9/10, and I think it's my favorite historical drama of the year so far.
