I agree to all of it. Initially, I could not get used to the ML and his actions as well. But it gets better after chapter 400, but considering there are 2400 chapters, I found it better. But you're right with your assessment. The start of the novel was slightly toxic. It was rape but it's just that both of them were victims to a crime. So, I didn't dwell much on it. Most cdramas are pretty cliche, so I found this relatively better. Don't ever read bringing national husband home and a billion stars don't amount to you. They are super toxic.

I couldn't relate more. I've read novels where I wanted to beat the leads up but I just couldn't drop them. Like the second novel from the same author as Ning xi. It started so well but went haywire.

But I still prefer cheesy cnovels lol

I really want a badass power couple drama and this would be perfect.

I wasn't a Kim Woo bin fan but his long hair look is killer. It's only human to fall for it.
