It is just like Hidden marriage.. with the power couple face slapping others. Since you've just read Hidden marriage, it could feel very similar. But it's good.
The last 3 on my list above are short (less than 100 chapters) novels.. if you need a filler.

Personally, I think IU can portray Meng Changge as it reminds me of moon lovers and HDL look of hers. But after you mentioned, cross dressing IU is more difficult to visualise. My second choice for the role was Krystal XD

Seconding Mel Mel. There are a lot of genres. Most youth drama have a lot of cliches. But you can try My Sunshine if you like Romance or Ashes of love for Wuxia, and they're slightly non cliche.

If I was to make the drama, I'd probably skip first 400 chapters of LTX being creepy. Tbh I didn't read those chapters properly and always reread from ch 500 when the dubcon is over. Before that they can just show them being in the same house and him being flirty in an overbearing yet not harassing way.

IU cross dressing is something I doubt. Though she looks fragile, I think she can act badass. Plus look wise Ning xi was supposed to look tiny. Like noone thought the little girl could pick up a gun. So, I think her softness will be deceiving.

I was ok with Xuelou's downfall. Being killed by the man she did everything for. I was happy she ignored her parents to the end. But yes, Satan and Annie's storyline was weak. Thankfully they did show that Han xiao and Annie were past lovers. But I was shipping Keer and Jingli so bad. I wanted them together. And also, that last scene where the Mo guy guessed TX's favourite painting made me so angry. I wanted her to say something like I like this other painting better or whatever. I didn't like the subtle hint of her being ok to the MO guy. I wanted her and the psychiatrist so bad.
