Agree. I really commend the director, screen writer and production team of this drama. They are able to capture the 'story' of the novel because other adaptions were usually changed and not stay 'true' anymore to the novel they're based on. Whether the changed is for extra dramatisation, screen time issue or adapted to be CP fan service drama there are really few successful IP drama in China

I know xianxia is very popular in china but somehow the story and plotline is almost always the same just different characters.
