One of the best vertical dramas I've watched. No usual CEO, White Lotus, Bad Step Mother or whatever tropes. Just pure and innocent love of 2 scarred individuals. The sequence was also not all over the place. Ke Chun was so great in this and so is Cheng Yue. Dang, I've not really cried watching a drama but this really broke my heart.

A lot of the others that dropped didn't even reach episode 10. And a lot would be revealed after episode 10. But it's okay, all have different preferences. 😊

A lot of people are bashing the FL for being weak and stuff. It's true that she is, but that is how she was brought up by the wicked stepmother. As she said, she was a beast tamed not only by beating but also by being fed and loved. Her character development will only start slowly as the episodes progress. It's not the best CDrama out there, I watched this for Yang Yang and Vin Zhang, but I got to love all the other characters as well - at least on Song Yang's side and the firemen. I suggest giving it a chance. The episodes get better after E10 or more. Also don't skip, it's a slow burn drama, no exciting magic or sexy kisses. You may be missing crucial details of the story if you skip and will really not enjoy it.

Oh and it's fun to see Yang Yang and Yan Lin together again. 😁

You have to watch more. It was just not breaking up with him...there's so many elements in that break up that will slowly be revealed and you'll understand why both the ML and FL are like this in the present.

I like it because the FL was strong and cut off the toxic family right away, unlike in others where the FL let's the toxic family bully her. I like that she fights back and does not easily fall for the schemes of the villains. I like how devoted the ML is.
