Yes and no. ULS does a lot of heavy lifting with the story of those two and the prequel doesn't really take its time to really explained what's going on.

I completely agree with everything you said. The first half of this series was perfect, but then it went downhill a little bit. There was a lot of suffering and little development between the protagonists, and they barely interacted in the second half.

Not to mention that there is no excuse for a BL series in 2024 not to have a kissing scene. I had traumatic 2gether flashbacks with that weird hug at the end.

It was an amazing series, but we deserved more in the final episode.
