I was not expecting to love this drama as much as i did, amazing writing and amazing acting. I seriously wouldn't mind a second season. In the beginning i didn't like the cinematography because it made the drama look older then it is, but along the way this same cinematography brings a feeling of relief and good vibes that can mix amazingly with the writing and acting.
And i must say even though theres not romance in this e felt the chemistry between Seo Hyun Ji and Ha Joon and i pray for the kdrama Gods to give them the leads of a romantic drama ASAP
Am i the only one thinking the the biological mother will appear next week?
I find it weird that she hasn't appeared yet , but maybe the writers dont want to focus in that detail too much and just leave it just like it is (She abandon her and the aunt became her mother)
I personally would like for the bio mom to NOT appear at all
With mother's like this i would not blame the kids for not speaking to them in future, imagine having your son arrested for murderer and you are still putting pressure in the other son....TOXIC AT ITS FINEST
Since the beginning i was 95% sure that the culprit would be the secretary, but the other 5% were really hopping for the writers pull a plot twist that would drop our jaws on the floor, unfortunately was not the case.
Honestly speaking i just can feel the extremely rushed ending that we are going to have.
If they wanted to give SML more screen time with FL they should had done it sooner, before the remarriage proposal and the break up right in the next episode....(Side eye).
It looks like the writers dont know ho to make a drama with a consistent plot.

They start to get more flirty around ep 12 but i think its only around ep 16 they get together. In the end of ep 19 ML needs to leave and they had to be apart for some time but they got together in the end in ep 20. If i remember correctly they treated FL sister better but i dont remember seeing them being cruel.... I finished the drama some time ago, but only got to comment yesterday
It took less then 15 minutes of an episode for ML to go back to person he was during their marriage, he once again became emotionless and unable to communicate.
His EQ is really one of the worsts that i've seen in these dramas, he cant see whats wrong and right in a relationship even if someone made him a visual explanation in front of his eyes...
And the fact he said that the father wanted a babysitter???? Like BFFR, your dad only wanted a person that was also worried about him and not only their job, just like FL!!!!
I remember watching this when i started watching kdramas (2020), and i can say that i remember the drama being a little frustrating because of ML, his character is not really the best.
And i'm still SOUR with how ungrateful the FL daughter was, after her own mother being cheated on and seeing how her mother took care of her all the time (when the father wouldn't) only took her the opportunity to go live to another country with her father and his mistress/ new wife to abandon her own mother.
Probably the writers dindnt know what to do with her character and just took her out of the country
Decided to comment about the fact that they tried to make the sister of FL the pretty sister when in my opinion FL is clearly the prettiest.... And its not the first time that i saw this happening in dramas
I remember seeing that this drama was filmed in my country ( Portugal) and i was very excited, but oh boy this turned out to be one of the worst dramas that i ever seen.... Basically leads that are not happy together but also love to make the life of the people around them a living nightmare! Till this day i feel sorry for the detective
Since i dint have nothing to do/see i decided to comeback to this drama and watch it a second time, and i must say i think i appreciated this drama more the second time then the first.
BUT
MY thoughts are on the drama are exactly the same now when it was the first time. I still wonder why the writers decided to murderer a good story with the last few episodes like it was nothing...
Jesus why why and why, the drama had so many good qualities, and my favorite is when they reveal when both leads met the first time.
Writers need to learn that sometimes less is more and you don't need to had a f*cking plot twist/ revelation in every story you write!
If i'm being honest i didn't understand the last minutes of the last episode in the first watch, but with the comments in here i could finally understand and this is why i enjoyed it more the second time. ( I really thought the ML really faked is death).
If you want a recommendation i think you should give it a try, but i must warn you that in the last 4 episodes is when the plot digs a hole bigger than the "Mariana Trench", and WILL affect your feelings about the drama

I call that lazy writings at its finest, it looks like they didn't even did a simple research about adoption, i personally think in future episodes that the biological mother will abandon the son once again because she cant deal with the responsibilities.
I dont think he is going to get sick but i believe he will be injured when they go to Africa again, theres some scenes on the intro/ credits with them in Africa, so thats my guess
I have to admit the proposal was cute, BUT why are they rushing the get married once again?
Cant they date for some time before jumping into marriage like its not a big decision?
Call me old fashion but i think if you want to get married you need first to date and get to know the person you are thinking of spending the rest of your life with, and in this case its even more serious because even though they were once married they dont know nothing about each other.
FL tried several times to get close to him and he didn't let that happen, ML also spend more time working instead of spending time with his wife, its obvious that they still dont know about each other because there was a big lack of communication, what can guarantee them that they both are ready to start to communicate and ACTUAL SPEND TIME TOGETHER ?

They writers dragged all the plots they created to the maximum, making you want to fast forward.
In the first 20-ish episodes, almost no interaction between the leads, and when finally they start to be more friendly with each other they decided to give more screen time to everyone in the drama but them... but the at least the looked very cute together when they interacted and FINALLY when they started dating.
And the bad guys in my opinion didn't get the punishment they deserved~
