praising predatory men for their 'idgaf attitude' is definitely a choice
Well, it seems like you've misunderstood the purpose of my comment. I'm not 'stirring the shit' just for the love of the game. Yes, is inflammatory, because that's what pushes more people to read it and engage with it. The way you did, for example. Education works best if it's not boring. I believe ragebait can be used for good. Anyways, it's good to take a pause, enjoy your hot guys :)

Girl. Neutral connotation. Did you even read my comment? I have no issues with dubcon and noncon, one of my favourite BLs is To My Shore lol. What weirds me out is when people watch it and they're not able to correctly identify it (or accept they are in fact enjoying it?), which happens especially when the characters aren't outrightly portrayed as negative. That's an issue that goes very well beyond the fictional world. I remember this girl describing a character as a 'good man' just because he was from an older movie that painted him in a positive light, despite having him act in an abusive way. Guess how blind she was to abuse in real life, despite identifying as a feminist. Also, lack of consent isn't only shown in NC scenes, I'm sure you know it's not just a sexual thing.

the ones that irk my soul are the ones that say they are "avid fans" of omegaverse but still complain…
Oh if you're criticising the shooting I agree with you. Something was off.

I mean it really depends on the story. I've read omegaverse with dry humping in it. The rules change quite a lot depending on the writer.

Please educate yourself on sexual coercion and on consent. Again, you can like the show while recognising its characters aren't great people (and without insulting strangers online). Have a good day.

the concept of being able to enjoy a show without losing all your critical thinking skills must be really foreign to you, I'm sorry about it

I just love Phob as a character, honestly one of the best character developments I've seen from his young self…

Sure does. Lol, I liked that scene--it was different and a good substitute for penetration with the two being…
A fun fact for you: frotting is when men rub against each other, while frottage describes people of any gender doing that :3

Title The Edge of Horizon Spoiler
how
pretty much everything he does to thin is nonconsensual; it's a plot demand, because if thin were like no I don't want this and phob were like oh okay gotcha I'll mind my own business then the plot wouldn't advance. but it's still awful behaviour.

I agree. Frottage is so underrated and underrepresented, it's nice to see it. It also captured the frantic energy of the moment really well. I didn't love the way it was shot, though.

No, the link is always unique and indestructible once the marking is done, valid for alpha and omega.
If they're bonded no, they don't cheat. But you can be in a relationship with an omega without marking them, I think. Cheating does exist in the omegaverse.

Honestly it's 50-50, many moments felt icky to me but the story kept me going.
This is triggering as hell. Please don't.

if u don’t really like organised religion can you still enjoy this series? I am considering whether to watch…
I have a really bad relationship with Catholicism and I loved it. Other people in my position disliked it. The relationship with religion in this drama is very complex and people interpreted it in different ways. One thing to be aware of, is that the director is Catholic, so faith is painted in a positive light, which might be triggering for people that have religious trauma. But it can also be very healing, especially for the ones that deal with Catholic guilt. It's a series directed from a queer and religious perspective, so it's not going to portray Catholicism as negative, but it also raises very interesting questions about religion, it challenges some beliefs, it promotes a philosophy that isn't really in agreement with what the Church says as an institution. If you can keep an open mind, you should give it a try!

I thought about it during ep 4 and this episode confirmed it: Barth never stop believing in God. In this episode…
This is such a good perspective. Barth is disappointed in God, but he's not really an atheist. He's looking for a reason to believe again, in other people as well as in God. I couldn't relate completely to him because of that, which is okay, we're all different; I guess he really does believe in God after all and wants to have faith because if I fell in love with someone or started trusting others more I wouldn't become more religious.

I was wondering that too. I hope it wasn’t in a evangelism sense and trying to “promote” Catholicism to…
the director is catholic, apparently; also it is their target audience, in a way, since BL is a product made to be exported in foreign countries and many have a significant catholic population. I know it was pretty successful in the philippines for example.

Some of you know absolutely nothing about religion or faith and it shows.Growing up in a religious household is…
...I mean, many of us abandoned religion once we got independent. People aren't just what their parents make them to be. In this story they still choose faith, but it doesn't mean it's the only possible outcome. In the end keeping on believing in God is a complex, personal thing that doesn't only depend on your upbringing. I'm agnostic, other people of my age are atheist and very anti-religious; others are still Catholic. We all make our choice and there is no right one, what matters is to be able to make it as freely as possible.
