Relationship of the main couple is so healthy that it is drop dead boring, they both look dazzling in gorgeous costumes and make up but all that only for a dull buildup and a flat chemistry. Still a decent watch if you’re looking for a plot-centered drama with romance as more of a side dish

Dropped it at ep 13, zero chemistry, ambiguous love triangle, a terribly written ML, plot all over the place

98% of the drama is just people gossiping. There are about 73 aunties, uncles, and cousins constantly talking behind each other's backs. The couple's chemistry is good, their gazes and eye contact are intense. However, I couldn't sit through episodes of nonstop gossip, so I gave up.

This is a great example of how to write AND portray a character that doesn't have empathy or can't show…
So true. He didn’t show much emotions and yet he was so selfless, vulnerable and naive. In other kdramas, the characters who lack emotion usually come across as narcissistic sociopaths at the beginning until they become a puddle of emotions once the romance starts. His inability to process his feelings doesn’t make Shi-Mok look arrogant, instead he is confused and extra careful while approaching the people around. His superior mental capabilities doesn’t intimidate the people he work with like other characters of this kind. Instead, he is so reassuring and kind. What a great character and acting, indeed.
